Ensures quality control requirements are understood and met by reviewing all special instructions and requirements.
Documents items by performing required Statistical Process Control; quality checks/tests; lot number requirements; shipping label requirements.
Resolves production problems by; notifying set up personnel for assistance; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources; if necessary, discontinue manufacturing operations until the problem is resolved.

Roll Tender - Machine Operator 12Hr
Our Roll Tender Operator is an important position of the dryer sheet manufacturing process. You will monitor fabric simultaneously being pulled from multiple rolls on a wall grid, all coming together into a "Pull Section" (like the lanes of a highway all coming together into one). Here are the three main phases:
1. Load the wall grid: place the fabric rolls onto horizontal spindles (rods), with the assistance of a lift for the higher spindles.
2. Feed the machine: route all fabric from all the rolls into the "Pull Section".
3. Documentation: complete the paperwork verifying that you have used the correct fabric, lengths, and cuts.

Quad is currently seeking a Press Assistant I/Roll Tender to work in the Charlotte, NC Retail Plant. As a member of the press crew, the Press Assistant I (Roll Tender) has previous experience as a Press Asst. II (stacker/jogger) and is able to perform the duties of both positions and may be asked to do so from time to time. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Understanding standard operating procedures of the department
Manage the paper supply inventory on the press and feed rolls into the press
Coordinate plates and tickets for upcoming jobs and hang paper according to job tickets
Set up and make splices, bend and hang plates as well as hang blankets and assist with webbing up press
Ensure correct ink is available for job and check ink fountains regularly
Set fold during make-readies and check trim sheets to proof and complete necessary roll reports and paperwork accurately
Communicate effectively with plate room and paper warehouse and coordinate changing of ink, etch, and silicone totes as needed
Wash up the press and assist with preventative maintenance.
Candidates must have prior press experience as Press Assistant II (Jogger)
Strong mechanical abilities and knowledge of presses and roll stands and the ability to perform basic math calculations are essential.
Good verbal and written comprehension skills are a must.

North America Rail Tender Data Manager
The North America Rail Tender Data Manager is responsible to provide commercial analysis to the North America rail procurement team, focusing on internal stakeholder engagement and accurate compilation, review and presentation of shipping activities by stakeholder, commodity and route / lane. This role will support multiple internal stakeholders and gather data from 7 class 1 railroads and internal systems to feed category strategy and support decisions taken.
This role is the primary focal point for rail freight rate requests coming from internal stakeholders. This is a largely manual process that we are looking to improve, streamline and automate as much as possible so advanced digitalization skills will be key.
Additionally, the rail freight analyst will support the rail equipment procurement manager with fleet utilization and optimization reporting, contract management activities within various systems and dashboards / presentations with recommendations of fleet profile based on overall market data.
In delivering value to the Shell organization, the team engages with all internal downstream stakeholders to understand the business needs and drive value in rail freight and equipment contracts. The analyst role is intended to gather data internally and externally and provide market analyses that will feed into each strategy we develop.
The role is also responsible for providing governance support to the T&S CP Downstream team through various activities, including but not limited to:
acting as focal point for railroad BPR readiness management reporting / KPI's collating contract data and various business metrics as required by the Senior Procurement Manager.
This position requires effective problem-solving skills and strong diplomatic relationship building skills.
This role supports the rail procurement team but will engage heavily with the downstream businesses of: Chemicals / Lubricants / T&S Products / T&S Crude and will actively engage with stakeholders at all levels of these classes of business.
Able to conduct in-depth analyses of supply chain / supply chain economics.
Experience analyzing freight rates and commodity movements in North America markets.
Able to evaluate strategies by effectively assessing changes in leading / lagging economic indicators.
Strong business acumen to present and discuss strategic goals and objectives
Understanding of market drivers and the ability to interpret indicators to develop strategies.
Able to build visualization using programs such as Spotfire, Qlikview, VBA, etc…
Able to create information links to ERP's and source databases.
Extensive knowledge and skill in automation of data collection to build reports to support strategy development.
Ability to take on additional projects outside of specific role.
Conduct analysis around variable costs and use to support strategy development.
Build and maintain predictive models using supply / demand / market intelligence to support strategy development.
