Industrial manufacturer is looking for a reliable, logical and motivated self-starter to join the firm. We are seeking mechanics with experience tearing down and rebuilding gear boxes, machines such as manual lathes, boring lathes, milling machines, drill presses, keyseater and broaching machines. Person needs good hands and be able to assist with shipping duties such as preparing skids and boxes.
Basic Job Description / Duties:
Responsible for tearing down, cleaning, inspecting and assessment of gear boxes from small (fits in your hand) to large (several tons).
Experience with disassembly of parts from their shafts (press fit, slip fit – heating to remove)
Will use micrometers, tapes, calipers and other inspection devices to ensure quality.
Will be required to operate overhead crane for moving work pieces on and off machines and throughout the workflow process.
Responsible for grinding and polishing work to meet customer and company finish requirements.
May be required to track jobs via company job process tracking software.
Flexibility and desire to work on other projects and tasks as required and assigned.
Maintain machines and work in a clean and safe manner.
Must be reliable and able to work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s time keeping policies and all other company policies.
5 to 10 years of relevant work experience as a machinist.
Must be proficient in reading and understanding blueprints.
Knowledgeable in tolerances required and acceptable on shafts, back lash, bearings.
Must be proficient in basic shop math.
Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/ position parts and components.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Loads steel blanks into die cavity so the blank can be formed and/or pierced
- Performs part number specific changeovers (set-ups) including tool and die set-ups
- Operate stamping press in a safe manner adhering to all safety and quality standards
- Conduct quality part checks as directed by the supervisor
- Removes scrap from the die and surrounding area during the production process as needed
- Must be aware of problems with the stamping press during press operation
- Communicate with production supervisor informing him of trends, quality updates and potential problems
- Communicates to their supervisor quality issues of the parts being produced by operator's press
- Follows control plan; reports defects and problems such as cracks, burrs, etc. with the tooling production supervisor or quality personnel
- General house keeping of workstation
- Wear all safety equipment and work in a safe manner

Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and productive operation of individual systems which can include; Granulator, Extruder, Color System, and or Shredder. The Operator is also responsible for maintaining a high quality product that meets minimum standards set forth by the company and is integral in helping to ensure the company successfully delivers superior service and value to all customers.

Flexo Press Machine Operator
A flexo press operator is a person who operates a flexo printing press. The flexo press operator works in a type of printing called flexography. Flexography is a method to print images from a raised printing plate onto corrugated sheets.
A flexo press operator knows how to operate and set up a flexographic printing press. The operator adjusts the speed of the press, can mount printing plates and cylinders into the printing press, and fill the dye font with ink. Operators feed the flexographic press with corrugated sheets which will be printed on, they need to be able to lift boxes of materials that can weigh at least 10 pounds and weigh over up to 70 pounds. Flexo press operators must be able to read job orders that gives them specific instructions on what the printing should look like as well as the design of the corrugated boxes. The flexo press operator is responsible for producing the entire printing job correctly. The operator is also responsible for cleaning the work area that surrounds the printer.
