Box Maker Operator is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities within this title. The types of roles available are machine operation, pallet jack driver, inventory, general upkeep and housekeeping, setting up and tearing down of machines, hourly and daily paperwork, verifying quality and accuracy of products, all while making safety the number one priority.
While performing the duties of Box Maker Operator, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positions require standing the entire shift and the use of PPE is required in all areas of the facility.
Ability to operate box machine, drive a jack, clean machine, assemble binds and handmade boxes.
May require various other duties as assigned
Responsible for filling out paperwork completely and accurately.
Pre-label boxes and help with bags and inventory
Work on production line as needed
General upkeep and housekeeping of the area
Use LOTO and troubleshoot as well as make adjustments to the machine
Year end inventory is mandatory (a Saturday/Sunday in May)

The incumbent will make boxes and labels according to daily orders. Coordinates with Production Supervisor and Assistant Production Supervisor to ensure enough boxes are made for designated shift. Will maintain clean equipment and work area. Will perform other duties as designated by supervisor.

Responsible for keeping up with production runs to ensure packers have enough boxes for finished goods.

Will work behind production line to make sure product continually flows in the lines.
Will change materials for production line according to BOM.
Will maintain filters and work area clean.
Ensures resin pumps are working properly.
Operate Label equipment and AX

May perform other duties as assigned.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Manufacturing work environment. Constant physical activities are required for this position. Such activities include: ability to reach overhead, squat, and bend at the waist; the ability to lift boxes of 60 lbs or more; ability to climb up and down stairs throughout a 12 hour shift; tolerance of standing posture continuously for 12 hours; intense walking is involved; able to tolerate working environment with inside excessive hot and cold temperatures.

The primary work opportunities available in your area may involve the delivery and assembly of high end furniture and home goods, fitness equipment, and in ground basketball systems. A small box truck with 2 man team is needed for this work
PLEASE NOTE: This is a 1099 position.
You must own or lease a box truck
Must Comply with vehicle registrations and DOT/med card as well as various state laws for the commercial vehicle being used to complete work
Vehicle liability insurance-CSL insurance varies based on vehicle weight (details upon inquiring for work)
You must have a reliable helper. Two-man teams required for some work
You must own and maintain your own tools needed for the completion of the work offered

Box Office Supervisor (Part-Time)
Under limited supervision, directs the operation of the box office functions, procedures and personnel for Spectra at the VSU Multi-Purpose Center.
Supervises and evaluates the work of box office employees and part time box office representatives
Effectively recommends personnel actions related to selection, performance review, scheduling and discipline
Administers personnel and related policies and procedures
Manages ticket sales for the VSU Multi-Purpose Center
Maintains daily ticket office accounting records, balance and deposits all ticket monies daily. Including but not limited to the ESR report, daily accounting reports, promoters event audits, etc.
Advises promoters on setting up the ticketing system for their event with Ticketmaster
Compiles and builds individual events. Setting up ticket prices, discounts, seating charts, and other information that pertains to the event
Plans schedule for needed personnel for both full time and part time staff on a monthly basis
Prepares and interprets event sales statement, and other related reports.
Responsible for preparing and monitoring budget items relat ed to box office functions
Investigates questions and problems related to ticket sales and develops solutions for the general public, event promoters, ticket office personnel and management
Responsible for installation, training, and maintenance of ticket outlets
Monitors change needs for the department and orders change requests as needed for events
Builds and maintains season ticketed events
Performs related duties as may be required
Graduate of an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration or related field
Three to five years experience in box office operations
Two or more years supervisory experience or any combination of education and experience that will have provided the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations
Ability to work with, motivate, support and involve employees in accomplishing goals and objectives
Ability to implement modern office procedures
Ability to define, analyze and solve problems
Ability to coordinate ticket office procedures with other staff
Ability to work variable hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to safely and accurately handle and account for large sums of money
Ability to handle difficult situations with courtesy and tact when dealing with the public and promoters
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other staff, event promoters and the general public
Must possess valid driver's license
Skill in operating modern office equipment including computers
