The Engineering Supervisor - Brake Certification and Development Testing will be responsible for supervising a team of 4 engineers for the purpose of planning and executing all FCA US LLC brake system certification (FMVSS and European regulatory testing) and development testing.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Management of department workload to meet certification deadlines including allocation of testing between Yucca, AZ and Chelsea, MI proving grounds
Working with the brake garage supervisor to deliver accurate test instructions to the driver/mechanics
Coordinating governmental witness testing with the CTC Regulatory and Certification group for European (BUX) certification testing
Management of our extensive data acquisition equipment and database management system that handles all aspects of the testing process (test request, test setup, data acquisition, data analysis and data reporting)
Coordination of any required capital expenditures
Oversight of the CPG test facilities that are used to conduct brake testing to ensure that road surfaces are maintained to meet certification requirements
This position requires a strong working relationship with the brake engineering design and development group in Auburn Hills, Michigan and requires periodic visits to Auburn Hills. This position requires limited travel (3 - 4 weeks annually) to the Yucca, Arizona Proving Grounds to support testing during winter months.

POSITIONS ARE ON 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT
Reporting to the Brake Press Manager this role is primarily responsible for the daily setup and operation of Cincinnati and Amada hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes in a just-in-time fabrication shop with some assistance provided. The Brake Press Operator may be required to assist other operators as a helper on key work or machines as required.
Set up and operate a hydraulic press for routine established work.
Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance.
Load, install and correctly set up the tools required with some assistance from a supervisor or a lead.
Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations
