Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Produce parts and tools from metal using brake press.
Knowledge of materials, tools and brake set up
Experience reading blueprints.
Report maintenance requirements and/or safety violations to the Leadman.
Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.)
Keep work area clean and organized.
Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three years' related experience or training preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical and/or electrical experience preferred.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Brake / Roll / Saw / Plasma Operator Weekend Shift
Functional Job Duties:
Competent use of hand, bench, and machine operations to perform deburring, filing, grinding, and polishing on machined parts.
Understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure, squaring tools, electronic level, calipers, and micrometers.
Accuracy with alignment, dimensional, and general inspection requirements. Perform spot inspections of parts.
Interpretations of work orders, blueprints, and bills of materials. Complete and maintain paperwork. Understand tolerances for parts
Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum, and regular steel).
Experience operating Hemsaw and Alltra Plasma table.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Press Brake Operator (1St & 2Nd Shift)
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating the power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications. The operator will set stops on machine bed and adjust components when making multiple or successive passes. The Press Brake Operator will also install, align, and secure gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools. The operator is also responsible for measuring material and verifying dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale.
1-3 years of Press Brake Experience required.
General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
Working knowledge of general computer programs strongly preferred.
Previous experience with precision instruments preferred.
Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings.
Press Brake Set-Up Operator
Job Description: or Purpose
Responsible for the set-up and operating Press Brake Machines. Works with other Press Brake Operators to ensure proper set-ups are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set-up Press Brake machines. Participates in hands-on production operation to include all aspects of the press brake department such as safety, quality, productivity and efficiencies.
Use a CNC controller to input parameter information into the press brake.
Perform the necessary programming effectively using all features of the press brake.
Prioritize Press Brake set-up for the daily output of order completion based on daily production schedules.
Ensure all necessary press brake tooling, packaging and materials are available and pre-staged at time of set-up.
Coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the Press Brake set-up process.
Operate press brake to meet and fulfill customer orders
Train press brake operators on set-up and safety procedures. Create work instructions and procedures for effective and efficient press brake set-up.
Store all training documents, work instructions and procedures in the system.
Work directly with Production Control to analyze production schedules, cost detail sheets and other records and reports in order to evaluate job performance and ensure reporting is accurate and jobs are being set-up in accordance with customer requirements.
Identify and resolve barriers to meet productivity expectations.
Participate in all continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities.
Perform daily checks to verify accuracy of reporting by Press Brake Operators.
Identify Press Brake tooling and keep in an organized manner for efficient retrieval.
Perform all routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
Technical Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and interpret drawings and blue prints.
Ability to configure bend allowances for sheet metal.
Experience in adjusting ram settings of the press brake and back guage locations per the process control and blue print requirements.
Ability to use inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Set-upequipment, tooling and controls. Operate machine to fabricate specified sheetmetal parts within very close tolerances.

Obtain route sheet from set up person or Supervisor.
Verify its information, making corrections as necessary.
Work from blue prints, set up book and die sheets.
Determine correct starting points and sequence of bends for indicated operations.

Press Brake Operator (2Nd Shift)
Eaton located in Fayetteville, NC has an opening for a Press Brake Operator on 2nd Shift
Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions.
Set up and operate: press brakes, Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) shear, numerical controlled turret press to cut with right angle shear, computer for nesting / batching of parts, as well as create and modify programs. Punch and form metal to specifications for filling job orders. Determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas.
Verifies job quality in each step of fabrication process by measuring dimensions, tolerances, pattern sequence and necessary calculations for machine adjustments. As required, dial in programs manually or edit existing programs. Provide assistance to other sheet metal fabricators/operators in performance of their duties as required.
Deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, position work material on work surface. Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach next process in a timely fashion.
Complete necessary preparation work such as wiping, degreasing, de-burring, or grinding of components. Activates equipment, prepare set-up parameters and direct lower-coded personnel in operation.
Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers. Documentation / record keeping may be required.
Operate spot welding machine, power grinder, power sanders, hand-tools, band saw, drills, temporary fixturing devices, jigs and fixtures, and other metal-fabrication equipment as directed. Inspect parts periodically or as directed utilizing manufacturing information such as drawings / blueprints, make necessary adjustments as required. Keep accurate piece count and other applicable records. Inform Supervisor of any quality problems.
Maintenance of equipment such as condition of tooling, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and minor adjustments may be necessary. Complete necessary maintenance check sheets and inform Supervisor and / or Maintenance personnel of any problems.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion; keeping oil deposits off of floor. Depose of trash and scrap. Observe all health/hygiene and safety policies as directed and specified

The position involves safely setting up and operating CNC press brakes to form a variety of sheet metal parts with tolerances routinely in the +/- .010" range.
Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Swing Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:15 pm to 12:45 am ($0.75 per hour shift differential)
Daily tasks include:
Safely setting up and operating press brakes to form parts to print and process specifications.
Inspecting parts using common tools such as calipers, micrometers, form gauges, height gauges and protractors.
Communicating with leadership about process problems and solutions.
Working within a defined process to meet quality and time standards using existing work instructions.
Follow and update production control three times throughout your shift or when job status changes.
Continually working to refine processes to improve quality and reduce cycle times.

Position Purpose: Set up and operate all sizes of press brakes to perform a wide variety of forming, notching, bending and punching operations on a diversified line of work.
1.Set up dies and gauges, adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper angle to capacity of machine at the Covrad GT Iron Ridge facility
2.Determine sequence of multiple pass operations to make required bends on complicated sections
