- Monitor cycle times and meets production schedules on delivery requirements.
- Inspect parts throughout the operation and complete SPC charts as required.
- Read Travelers and understand how to route parts to next operation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2+ years of related experience and/or training is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 10 lbs.

Machine Operator I/Press Brake
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Set-upequipment, tooling and controls. Operate machine to fabricate specified sheetmetal parts within very close tolerances.
In addition to the duties and/or responsibilities of Machine Operators II & III, perform the following:
Obtain route sheet from set up person or Supervisor.
Verify its information, making corrections as necessary.
Work from blue prints, set up book and die sheets.
Determine correct starting points and sequence of bends for indicated operations.
Determine from blue print drawing, length of dies needed for type of bend, and position dies in machine.
Check die specified for material suitability for material thickness.
Set shut height with crank, set controls and adjust or change fingers as required.
Set stops and adjust to compensate as required for variations in material and preceding operations.
Position piece parts to stops and perform the prescribed sequence of operations to bend, form, and flatten, etc., to numerous sizes and thicknesses of sheet metal.
Periodically check work for dimension, squareness, angular dimensions.
Submit work for inspection by quality control.

Press Brake Operator (1St & 2Nd Shift)
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating the power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications. The operator will set stops on machine bed and adjust components when making multiple or successive passes. The Press Brake Operator will also install, align, and secure gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools. The operator is also responsible for measuring material and verifying dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale.
1-3 years of Press Brake Experience required.
General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
Working knowledge of general computer programs strongly preferred.

Responsible for the set-up and operating Press Brake Machines. Works with other Press Brake Operators to ensure proper set-ups are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set-up Press Brake machines. Participates in hands-on production operation to include all aspects of the press brake department such as safety, quality, productivity and efficiencies.
Use a CNC controller to input parameter information into the press brake.
Perform the necessary programming effectively using all features of the press brake.
Prioritize Press Brake set-up for the daily output of order completion based on daily production schedules.
Ensure all necessary press brake tooling, packaging and materials are available and pre-staged at time of set-up.
Coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the Press Brake set-up process.
Operate press brake to meet and fulfill customer orders
Train press brake operators on set-up and safety procedures. Create work instructions and procedures for effective and efficient press brake set-up.
Store all training documents, work instructions and procedures in the system.
Work directly with Production Control to analyze production schedules, cost detail sheets and other records and reports in order to evaluate job performance and ensure reporting is accurate and jobs are being set-up in accordance with customer requirements.

Press Brake Operator
As a Press Brake Operator, you will work either individually, or, as part of a small team, to produce Sheet Metal parts. You will be required to produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. Employees within this classification will work primarily with CNC Press Brake, or CNC Turret Punch Press/Laser Cutting equipment.
Other responsibilities of this position include performing preventative maintenance on your assigned equipment. Also, you must maintain the cleanliness of your work area and meet all requirements of the Powell Quality System for this position. Finally, all employees are required to participate in Powell's ongoing Safety Training.
You must be an organized, self-starter, with the ability to work unsupervised while meeting all product quality requirements. Technical skill and qualifications for this position are as follows:
* Able to read a Tape Measure and Ruler (ability to convert fractions to decimals and conversely decimals to fractions).
* Able to read Mechanical Engineered Drawings (blueprints)/knowledge of engineered specified tolerances
* Able to effectively change machinery for multiple set-ups given various product lines and material requirements
* Able to use precision hand tools such as square, protractor and caliper.
* At least 2 years of experience operating and programming a Press Brake Machine.

Competent use of hand, bench, and machine operations to perform deburring, filing, grinding, and polishing on machined parts.

Satisfactory completion of Crenlo's Press Brake Training course is required. Ability to read and understand route sheets and blueprints and check parts to print.
Work Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial. Previous experience as a press operator is desired.
