Applies knowledge of metallurgy to determine best method to accomplish quality braze (brass, copper, steel).
Uses various methods to form copper tubing to print specifications.
Selects torch tips, flux, and brazing alloys from work station instructions and/or Sequence of Events (SOE) or work orders.
Applies solder along adjoining edges of work pieces to solder joints, using soldering irons, gas torches, or electric-ultrasonic equipment.
Adjusts electric current and timing cycles of resistance on induction brazing machine to heat metals to bonding temperature.
Inspects and flushes condensers or evaporators with refrigerant detergent solutions.
Troubleshoots leak detections using helium sniffer equipment.
Evaluates brazed components to insure proper functionality and repair or rework as needed.
Utilize KANBAN cards to replenish inventory and communicate production needs to support areas, stock room, paint, etc.
Replaces components as instructed; reworks units rejected by quality control.
Moves units or positions pieces manually or using work aids such as pallet jacks, hoists and/or tables.
Utilizes computer to obtain work orders, order parts, production schedule, log failures and repairs, etc.
Troubleshoots work related problems by using technical expertise and input from other team members, Supervisor, Cell Leads or Engineering team.
Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations on line as requested by supervisor. Cross training and flexibility required.
Maintains clean and organized work area that supports co-workers as well as safety, efficiency, quality and customer demands.
Fully engaged, initiates activities that support department and team goals, suggests improvements in work methods and is actively involved with all of the team activities within the department.
Supports Continuous Improvement, PPI and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Trains and mentors new employees or transitioning workers in the area.

Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing practices. Manufacturing experience is a plus. Experience using small hand and power tools is preferred.
Skills: Ability to read, interpret and follow wiring diagrams and blueprints as shown in SOE. Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels and work instructions.
Skills Certification: Brazing certification preferred.
Physical Demands: Standing, bending, reaching and handling bulky parts is common to the job. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds.

- Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of work pieces using gas torches or electric ultrasonic equipment

Fabrication and brazing of copper tubing and plate. Welding and/or brazing experience required. Accurate layout skills and thorough understanding of measurements are necessary for this job. Machining experience is preferred, but not necessary. Pneumatic and plumbing experience a plus.
Work from sketches, CAD assembly drawings, and verbal instructions.
As a Coilmaker you will cut, bend, braze, and machine copper and other materials to fabricate induction coil assemblies and cement liners.

The F-22 Material Coordinator individual will provide technical services required to manage and operate a retail supply operations supporting the F-22 Maintenance Induction Center (MIC).Tasks include all supply actions regarding Mods, retrofit kits, spares and repair assets required to support Heavy Maintenance. The Newark Montclair Urban Teacher Residency (NMUTR) is designed to improve student achievement by coupling rigorous research-based teacher preparation with the concrete needs and realities of the Newark Public Schools. Cohorts of up to 25 teacher residents each participate in a full-time clinical apprenticeship with highly qualified, dedicated mentor teachers who are experienced in the residents' areas of certification (dual-certification in early childhood education and special education, mathematics education, or science education). Successful program completers will receive NJ teacher certification, a Master of Arts in Teaching degree, will be hired by NPS, and will receive induction support from the MUTR for a minimum of three years after they complete the residency.
The Induction Coordinator works directly with the NMUTR Director and the Principal Investigator to oversee and implement all aspects of the Induction Plan that has been designed specifically for residency programs like the NMUTR. The Induction Coordinator is responsible for oversight and administration of the Induction Plan including: working with residency graduates in their school setting; creating and developing a professional learning community among novice teachers, experienced mentor teachers and educational leaders; overseeing all aspects of the work of the Induction Coaches who are hired to support graduates; developing a calendar and timeline of Induction events and activities; and implementing all mentoring, coaching and school leader professional development. Additionally, the Coordinator will work to bring induction practices to graduates of other teacher education grant programs, as well as to the larger teacher preparation programs at Montclair State University.
The Induction Coordinator communicates continuously and works closely with Residency faculty and serves as a coordinator for all induction-related aspects of the NMUTR grant. This includes budget management, program management, and data collection with and for the NMUTR program evaluators. This person will serve on the NMUTR Core Planning Team in support of activities that are integral to the project plan.
This is a 12-month position. Successful candidates for this position must hold a Master's degree. Doctoral degree is preferred.
A minimum of three to five years P- 12 and/or university teaching experience required. Candidate should have a record of strong administrative, management, and communication skills, including successful collaboration with university colleagues. Experience leading or implementing professional development programs in public school settings, knowledge of university culture and structure are sought.
Knowledge about new teacher induction, mentoring, coaching, and supporting new teachers is necessary. SKILLS: Candidates must have highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must have a commitment to school/university partnership and have the ability to work well across different institutions, facilitate collaboration among partner s with different and sometimes competing interests, and the ability to solve difficult problems of practice in urban schools and teacher education.
