Your responsibilities include:
Building relationships with customers through proactive outreach and follow up, asking questions and learning about their financial needs

The position reports to the Director of Hematology.
Work closely with cross-functional design team members to ensure that the full understanding of subsystem/system functionality and performance is developed
Drive the development of systems design concepts to meet clinical Hematology requirements
Develop expertise in the interaction between different elements of detailed design, give unique insight to the potential for emergent behavior and weigh merits of various design concepts against each other
Oversee, plan and execute experiments to study design feasibility and identify & characterize critical design parameters and their boundaries
Identify solutions to complex technical issues by troubleshooting, determining root cause, and then proposing design modifications as they pertain to lab diagnostic device system & assay performance
Analyze system & assay performance test data and establish acceptance criteria
Anticipate potential problems that may impact system performance and develop risk mitigation plans
Write & review data-driven technical summaries and test reports
Assure compliance to all verification and integration quality procedures and policies of product development
Oversees procedures pertaining to:
prototype configuration management during system verification
design verification and traceability
product risk management
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
B.S in Engineering or Biological Sciences required
10+ years working experience as Systems Engineer in new product development
Appreciation for the FDA regulated medical device industry
Skilled in systems thinking with a broad range of knowledge and experience in systems requirements, integration, verification and validation
Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and how to apply across hardware/software platforms
Work experience as part of large integrated, cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Health Unit Coordinator, Surgery - Per Diem (Westchester)
Responsible for coordinating non-clinical activities for a patient care unit under the direction of the nurse in charge and/or Nurse Manager in accordance with local, state, federal, Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies. Provides assistance to nursing staff by accurately transcribing and placing orders into the system.
Greets patients, family members, visitors, physicians and faculty staff who arrive on unit.
Responds to requests for patients, family members, visitors, physicians and faculty staff.
Obtains patient information prior to admission.
Processes patient registration.

Med/Surg Technician, Wound Outpatient - Full Time (Westchester)
Under direction and supervision of Registered Nurse, assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and performs a variety of procedures, exams and tests. Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment, and promotes improved customer relations.
Functions as a key member of the nursing care team participating in the implementation of the patient's plan of care.

Transports/accompanies patients to various departments, as directed; performs post-mortem care and transports body to morgue.
Utilizes proper isolation techniques and established safety, waste disposal and infection control procedures at all times. Follows Medical Center's policies and procedures supporting quality assurance efforts in-patient care services.
Participates in various continuing education programs, surveys, and attends staff meetings, as directed.
Accesses medication delivery and/or medication areas, as authorized, in the performance of required duties, as needed.
