Responsibilities/Duties Properly stage, mix, and supply brine mixture to production lines. Mut be able to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail. Must be able to regularly assist in lifting 100 lbs throughout duration of shift. A strong understanding of clean working procedures is mandatory.
1. Visually inspect all ingredients for proper ID and weight. Mix brine at a rate specified by supervisor to keep up with production. Lift up to 50 pounds. Accurately label and identify, as directed by supervisor, finish brines. Accurately complete paperwork in order to track ingredients through production for reporting reasons. Keep area clean; remove empty pallets and totes, and return unused ingredients to spice room.
2. As needed, set up and remove condemned tubs and trash on production floor and line. Keep floor clean. Use Pallet Jack to remove and return spices or raw materials to and from cooler. Assist Batch Mixer with the loading of carts of product onto production line.
3. Report machine performance issues and quality concerns to lead or supervisor.
4. Other duties as assigned by supervisor, including rotation to other department as needed. Required Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Reading, writing, analytical, basic math, and data entry skills required.
Must be required to obtain Jack operator's license through Perdue training and testing.
At least 6 months experience in working with poultry machinery.
Employee must be able to lift between 40-70 lbs. frequently. Standing 100% of the time.

Summary/Objective: The Mixing Operator position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the preparation and mixing an array of finished doughs. This position uses a standardized process to accurately combine ingredients in a mixer to produce quality doughs per recipe instructions.

Perform visual inspections of raw materials and of products produced, including maintaining proper level in the lay-time conveyor, and notify management when an issue or concern is first noted. Operate mixing equipment including, but not limited to: all panel view screens, steam and chilled water jackets, scales, and DSI scanners.
Must be able to train other team members on process/machinery as necessary. Understand, observe and comply with the handling/usage of color-coded container policy. Maintain clean work environment and prepare work area for following shift personnel.

What You Will Do:
Reviews daily mix schedules. Ensures that the correct PPE is available and other safety procedures are understood and followed. Asks Supervisor for assistance if needed.
Ensures that the raw materials required for the mixes are available. Ensure that the Ecolocator and SAP system is being used to maintain inventory system. May use fork trucks, palletizers, scales, pumps, and other material moving and measuring equipment.
Following the mix instructions, adds raw materials to the mixers manually, using pumps, or using mixing systems. Mixes the batches using variable agitation speeds, agitation times, and heating and cooling per the instructions.
Takes samples of the completed mixed batches. Performs basic QC tests or takes samples to lab for tests. Consults with Quality personnel on batch adjustments. Notes batch adjustments on mix paperwork.
Cleans out mix tanks when empty per procedures. Collects wash-water.
Follows and achieves daily mix plans.
Document all work accurately and timely as instructed, including material usage.
Pumps completed products to assigned storage vessel, as instructed.
Maintains equipment, work area and raw material storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.
Cross-trained on bulk loading and unloading.

Production Mixer On 1St Shift ( Mon To Thu 4:00 Am To 2:30 Pm)
To properly perform any mixing job by mixing acceptable product, while ensuring a proper production flow, especially from mixing to the production lines.
- Understand how to properly set up, operate and wash down a mixer.
- To use FIFO ( First in, First out) method correctly.
- To properly place ingredients into containers.
- Must be able to fill out corresponding paper work for each product mixed.
- Must be able to complete all JDE transactions.
- Scale ingredients needed.
- To maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work area.
- Participate in the yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
- Must adhere to the plant’s policies and plans
- Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
- Prior Mixing Experience
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical skills.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend basic instructions and processes of the job.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with others
- Ability to promote teamwork
- Must be willing and able to cross-train
- Must be able to operate manual pallet jacks in a safe manner
- Must be able to operate elevator properly & safely
