Automatic machine operators uses a single needle automatic sewing machine to join together materials. These materials include but are not limited to pre-cut fabric, webbing reflective tape, cords, labels, and vinyl components. # Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Operate a automatic sewing machine to join materials together.
Position pre-cut fabric and components (reflective, tabs, patches, or labels) to be joined under the presser foot/clamp and needle.
Starts and stops machine with foot pedal.
Monitors stitching to detect defects to insure acceptable quality.
Selects thread and other components according to bill of material.
Thread machine, winds and changes the bobbin.
May Cut excessive material or thread with scissors / nippers when necessary.
Routinely check fabric for defects, runs, stains, missed stitches, etc.
Performs required daily machine maintenance and adjustment.Includes but is not limited to adjusting thread tension, dusting machine, wipe off oil, adjust stitches per inch.
Notifies sewing machine repair person or Group Leader when experiencing problems with machine.
Completes required documentation including but not limited to recording production quantities, downtime, scrap, traceability, component usage

Will accurately measure or weigh powdered raw materials and place on a skid.
Must be able to read and understand the plant production schedule and also keep accurate count of inventory.
Must be available to progress to a Mixer Operator role
Mixer Operator duties:
Performs operations and related activities per task instructions to produce adhesives.
Places raw ingredients (liquids and powders) into the mixer and monitors the process conditions, equipment and control systems for each batch.
Uses trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations or problems.
Also performs minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance of equipment.
Manually changes filtration equipment and prepares packaging and downloads completed material for shipment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Dust mask required while handling powder ingredients.
Forklift operation required.
Prior production / mixer operator experience is a plus.

You will lead the work activities of assigned Mixing operators team safely and reliability to produce products. Your primary focus is to maintain a safe and reliable work area while leading assigned team to meet mix operations daily scheduled output as directed by the shift supervisor. Your secondary effort will be to learn and become qualified on PreMix operations.
