The primary function of this role is to bundle and tag pipe to get it ready to be put on a truck to be delivered to various construction sites.

Follow up on tools and materials as needed
2+ years of related work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is required.
High school diploma or GED is required.

Must have great communication skills.

Bundler Position: To ensure the safe and efficient bundling of tubes in the mill workstations, with support to the Cut-Off Operator to ensure that only good quality tube is sent to the customer.
The bundlers are normally positioned at the end-point of every line process. They work according to the flow and the line cycle speeds.
They support the line for a continuous operation considering safety, quality, and efficiency. They are also responsible and expected to perform under the following guidelines:
Use of all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment at all times prescribed, as listed below. Only use Personal Protective Equipment that has been pre-approved for use by Tectron management.
Familiarize themselves with the location of all emergency exits, fire extinguishers, first aid stations, eyewash stations, and MSDS stations, and/or asking their supervisor if they aren't apparent. Prepare, set-up, operate, and maintain the strapping equipment, bundling racks, straps, clips/seals, and other accessories that are required and support the full activities at the bundling station. Support and be coordinated with the mill crew to effectively perform and meet the quality and productivity requirement of the work order, and do the same for changeover.
Ensure that all the safety guarding and safety switches are in place and functioning normally at all times. Never defeat guarding or otherwise act in an unsafe manner for any reason. The bundlers are expected to proactively avoid delay by planning their day's work and alerting the supervisor or the Cut-Off Operator immediately upon foreseeable potential problems such as in changeovers, tools, and materials.
This especially means cutting wood. Bundlers are expected to preserve with due care all tools, consumables, and machinery under the responsibility of this SSP. Package/Bundle with basic principles for proper lifting, turning and bending.
The bundlers are committed to perform all the above functions and are responsible to report to their supervisor any unsafe acts or damage or theft of company assets committed by others that they witness. Keep the workplace cleaned and organized at all times (refer to Section 11. Housekeeping). PRODUCTION WORKERS-Frostbite, a Division of Dean Foods, the largest processor of milk in the U.S., has seasonal employment opportunities in our Toledo, OH facility. This position is responsible using machines according to safety standards in the area of the production line that stacks, tapes and bundles gypsum wallboard board together for outbound shipments to customers. The positon adds spacers (known as sluetters) between stacks of bundled wallboard, performs timely quality inspections on a regular schedule using internal computer and written system(s), ensures accuracy of production count, and transports the bundled gypsum wallboard to the correct area of the warehouse using a forklift. This position reports to the Shift Performance Manager and works independently and within a team setting.
Champions a safety first environment and keeps up to date on new safety policies, procedures and initiatives
Performs quality checks per the quality control plan and escalates issues to Line Production Lead if required
Safely operates bundler and stacker machines and tools to produce wallboard according to quality and specification standards
Properly adds 8 lbs. sluetters between bundled wallboard for each load according to standards and places sluetters in warehouse for load placement. Re-supplies sluetters at takeoff using fork truck
Adheres to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to help address mechanical issues or upset conditions
Performs daily fork truck inspection and refuel as needed
Places wallboard loads in warehouse properly with forklift adhering to all safety rules and traffic guidelines
Clear rejected wallboard from the reject stacker with fork lift
Maintains an accurate wallboard count making sure every wallboard is of good quality, ensure culled boards are accounted for according to systems and procedures
Assists with troubleshooting responses to problems or breakdowns in the Take Off area and on the lines as required
