- Bachelor degree with 6+ years of experience
6+ years' experience leading a manufacturing team
6+ years' experience in Optics manufacturing in an Aerospace environment highly desired
Effective project management knowledge and ability required to plan and manage schedules and budgets for specified project deliverables
Technical competency, organizational knowledge, and understanding of aerospace methodologies
Experience with Optical product manufacturing and testing
Experience as a team leader managing the development and delivery of optical products
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to de-conflict priority tasks
Working knowledge of Value Based Lean Six Sigma (VBLSS) tools
Excellent written and verbal communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences, and business communications

Ensure good communication is given both verbally and/or written to all members of staff.
Exhibit problem solving and troubling shooting skills to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems.
Work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective communications tools.
Ensure training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift.
Maintain an active role in the company's continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company.
Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
Monitor company resources in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs.
Manage and make appropriate decisions while following the company's organizational structure.
Maintain and track time and attendance of production staff in computer systems appropriately.

Fabrication Supervisor (Night Shift)
The Fabrication Supervisor oversees the fabrication shop. Responsible for hourly workers' development, time approval, and productivity. Ensures assigned deliverables are completed per project schedules. Focused on improving safety standards, completing work within budget, and maintaining the highest quality standards possible.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Work with Fabrication Coordinators to ensure that all deliverables are executed per the schedule
Report any schedule deviations to Senior Supervisor, Project Managers, and Scheduling Department
Send inspection notifications in accordance with the ITP/JQR
Ensure overtime is authorized by the Senior Supervisor
Accountable for hours and durations of assigned projects as well as accuracy of team's billable hours/KRONOS approvals
Accountable for the quality of work performed by assigned employees
Responsible for calibration & maintenance of tools and equipment in the assigned area
Ensure the team's participation in the Safety Program
Conduct morning tool box meeting, use your teams Performance Boards daily (keep employees updated with actual hours & % complete)
Influence the development and implementation of process improvements and/or training needed for team members
Accountable for housekeeping and "5S" of the assigned area
Perform other duties as required

The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for managing the Laser, Plasma, CNC, Finishing, and Brake Press departments, ensuring 100% on-time completion of production in these areas in accordance with the plant production schedule. Determine the required staffing level (all shifts) for the Fabrication department's business plan.
Select, train and develop department personnel.

Manage the department operating schedule and employee vacation schedules in accordance with production requirements.
Set departmental performance objectives and establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and report performance.
Drive continuous improvement of department performance.
Actively encourage employees to suggest improvements and facilitate the adoption of their ideas.
Ensure that Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Cost objectives are visible, understood by department employees, and proactively managed.
