Inspector performs final inspections on electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, electro-optical and other mechanical, composite and integrated systems. Ascertains functionability in accordance with prescribed company and customer requirements and specifications and may present to the customer for certification and acceptance prior to shipment.
Prefer computer network application experience, engineering record retention systems to obtain and accomplish inspection planning and acceptance. Works from prints, engineering drawings, and specifications. Utilizes a variety of inspection instruments and gages to assist in comprehensive inspection.
Requests removals and replacements of malfunctioning and faulty parts and rejects or requests rework, as described herein. Stamps or otherwise approves systems and integrated systems as acceptable, obtains customer approval, and prepares and maintains paperwork and records.
Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain security clearance.

Perform Quality Control functions as defined in procedures and work instructions to assure that customers receive good parts. Works with variable supervision to set up and operate any inspection equipment or gauging. Supports production operators by routinely auditing production processes and performing various inspections. Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect and record all parts at specified frequencies, with specified lot size, in accordance with approved Quality Control procedures with calibrated gages and measuring devises to ascertain Quality.
Inspect and approve first piece production on any new set-ups.
Perform audit of warehouse to ensure product is properly packed, identified and stored as required by procedures and work instructions appropriate for part status.
Perform an audit of product to be shipped to ensure all move sheet steps have been completed and signed off, all contractually required paperwork is with product and product is properly packed.
Make sure all suspect parts have been properly tagged and sent to the designed holding areas.
Maintain files as per prescribed by work instructions on procedures.
Capable of learning computer skills necessary to perform spectrometer analysis and to generate metal department reports.
Prepare alloy samples for analysis.
Calibrate and maintain Spectrometer to operating specifications.
Operate Spectrometer for alloy analysis
Consult with the Quality Supervisor or the Quality Engineer on any matters pertaining to Quality of product or process.
Position can be exposed to a harsh operating environment, which includes: heat up to 100 degrees.
Perform other associated duties as needed to continue the productive operation of the department and division.
High school diploma or GED equivalent and 2 years' experience in quality assurance inspection.
Must understand concepts of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing and part inspection.
Previous experience in operation of CMM or demonstrate ability to be trained in operation of CMM.

Senior Inspector - Elevator Inspector
Performs advanced inspections using technical drawings and specifications in all phases of construction with regard to quality, quantity of materials, installation methods used and conformity to specifications and recognized industry standards. Major/Essential Functions
Performs all periodic elevator inspections as mandated by the Texas Department of licensing and regulation. Reviews new construction project plans and cost estimates with emphasis on elevators.
Conducts routine on site inspection of work in progress to determine compliance with contract documents, quality of work & materials. Reports contract deficiencies to the project manager. Maintains a daily log of site activities at construction site.
Review drawings & specifications before bidding & submitter of documents before commencement of any work. Notifies the appropriate project manager of any discrepancies found. Reviews include compliance with national, sate and local codes.
Makes decisions on technical, administrative and management problems identified by periodic and random inspection of elevators.
Administers elevator service contracts. Prepares reports and correspondence and conducts studies as to elevator callbacks, maintenance exams and repairs.
Must hold a maintain the ASME QEI-1 National Elevator Inspectors license. Must hold and maintain the State of Texas Elevator Inspector License.

This class inspects permitted sites in area of specialty to ensure permit, code, and regulatory compliance, provides compliance information to permit holder, and reports any findings with recommendations for permit hold/withdrawal. Work is performed under the general direction of a Chief Construction Supervisor.
A non-certified Construction Inspector's rate of pay is $12.49; must be able to obtain a provisional Building Inspector certification within 90 days of employment and the State certification within one year of employment.
