Domestic Mail Sorter
DHL has openings for Domestic Sorters and Encoders. The Domestic Sorter will perform domestic United States mail processing ensuring the mail is correctly sorted, clearly printed and that labels are placed correctly; will ensure all sorting procedures are properly followed.
Pay: Up to $13/hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sort all mail by sort area requirements and in accordance with company quality process standards
- Meet sorting production quota standards
- Inspect each piece of mail to ensure the indicia are affixed correctly and the zip code on the indicia matches the address zip code
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
- Duties may include reassignment to alternate operational areas as business needs require
- Essential duties are not necessarily exhaustive and may be supplemented or otherwise revised by DHL at its sole discretion
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School or equivalent training and/or related experience preferred
- Understand and carry out oral instructions
- Ability to sort alphabetically and numerically

The Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting materials on the conveyor line by performing the following duties:
- Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in a container according to type, size, condition, coloring or paper grade.
- Pull contaminants out of paper or off of the floor.
- Stack boxes and skids.
- Dump boxes and totes of material.
- Feed material, such as wastepaper onto the conveyor.
- Clean up the conveyor and surrounding sorting line.
- Keep surrounding work area clean.
- Read monitor for machine startup and ensure the machine is operating properly and at a moderate speed.
- Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as the guideline for operating and maintaining equipment.
