Machine Operator - Wick Inserter

Responsible for operating and maintaining wick inserter machine. Must monitor quality and report any deficiencies to Supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up machines with correct wick
Make visual inspection for defects or issues
Read and interrupt equipment manual and work orders
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work environment
Be able to multi task
Clean and restart machine as necessary
Feed materials to machine and keep production running
Other duties as assigned

The Insert Operator is responsible for set up, operate and troubleshoot automatic mail inserting machines. Also responsible for ensuring personal production meets and/or exceeds our client's expectation for productivity, timeliness and quality.
- Ability to manually handle and load large quantities of envelopes and paper into paper and envelope Feeders
- Ability to squat to change folding plates on the machine and perform job setups on the machine
- Ability to minor troubleshoot machine for malfunctions
- Ability to perform various setups to machine according to a Production Control Form
- Place finished material into USPS mail trays and sort mail according to a manifest.
- Machine is a one-person operation and operator is responsible for the sorting and strapping of completed trays.
- Perform frequent quality checks during operation
- Complete all required paperwork or system entries such as scanning
- Ability to work required hours during peak production time
- Attention to detail
- Positive Can Do attitude
Credentials and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have 2 or more years of experience.

Experienced Inserter Operator -- 2Nd Shift
We currently have a position available on 2nd shift for an experienced Inserter Operator .
An Inserter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining equipment used to fold, match and insert multiple pieces of printed material into an envelope. Experience with Bell & Howell, CMC, and Pitney Bowes Inserters considered a huge plus.
Sets up inserting equipment at the beginning of each job according to the specifications provided on the job ticket and runs the inserters
May operate various inserting equipment
Inserts address tags into mail sacks, tubs or trays used for bulk mailing of ID Cards, kits, subscription magazines and catalogs
Keeps work area in order and staged with product and follows prescribed safety regulations
Performs quality control during each mailing to ensure product meet USPS requirements
Reads postal statement and sorts mail accordingly
Maintains equipment, troubleshoots equipment problems, performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required and identify repairs if needed
Makes adjustments as required to return output to the proper specifications
Communicates status of jobs to leads or managers
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
Required Education and Experience:
High school or GED equivalent
Experienced machine operator - minimum of 1 full year
Language Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above

Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
