Assistant Sealer Operator - (Ct10470)
Prepares corrugated waste by manually banding product and placing in bin to go back to vendor or to recycle depending on the cause for waste.
Completes pallet for movement to warehouse by attaching corner posts if required, printing ticket and attaching sticker to pallet sheet and to pallet.
Adjusts palletizer for product by setting controls for height and count.
Runs packer, feeder, and palletizer by monitoring and adjusting each section of machine as necessary.
Troubleshoots where carton is out of alignment, case count problems, feeder/packer issues, makes adjustments are necessary.
Perform quality checks as required.
Perform preventive maintenance as required.
All other duties as assigned.

Production Assistant - Case Sealer (2597-159 Child 1)
This is an entry level position. The employee who occupies this position is responsible for any/all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list.
The Assistant responsibilities can include feeding, packing, labeling, palletizing, operation of the banding/wrapping equipment and operation of Packsize equipment.
Lift handfuls of material and placing in the feeder of the equipment.
Pack cartons into cases directly behind gluers or directly after stripping
Inspect cartons - ONLY Quality Products are to be packed!
Strip individual cartons off die cut loads
Off bear cartons off cut loads into separate copies or die positions
Prepare cases, layer boards, and labels for jobs
Check job ticket or spec book for appropriate pallet configuration
Stack cartons according to spec on pallet. Confirm that labels are correct and facing out, as applicable, on all finishing pallets. Also making sure corrugated is all lined up and matches in appearance.
Stretch wrap complete pallets and send to shipping
Re-stock materials for the following crews, which include but not limited to, making lids, corrugated stocked and also keeping the tables stocked up with tape
Operate electric Pallet Jacks safely to move WIP or finished pallets.
Maintain the cleanliness of the area (remove stray cartons, sweep up, etc.) performed during make-ready.
Conduct quality audits as required
Conduct sorting operations as required
H.S. Education or equivalent, computer literate.
Abilities: Good attendance, guide teams/processes, ability to work alone.

Duties require standing (except breaks and lunch) with little lower body movement throughout working shift for 8 to 12 hours.
Visual acuity at short distances. Needed to detect variances in job numbers, register and collator marks.
Color vision needed to detect inappropriate color of product.
Lifting and loading up to 20 lb. bundles of corrugate into case.
Able to lift 25-35 lb. boxes continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally to cover Case Sealing position.

Primary Purpose:Safely operate various types of equipment related to movement and transporting of bulk products as dictated by customer needs and requirements. Cleans the shop, warehouse, and assists others with clean up. This includes sweeping the floors, keeping the cement pad under the silos cleared, cleaning up spills, pre-trip inspection for the forklift daily (check engine oil, leaks in fuel system, radiator, tires, carriage, oil and water, steering, brakes, truck operation, engine, oil gauge) and general maintenance.

When order comes in via truck, unload pallets using a forklift.
Transfer chemicals from supplier's tote to a working tote via forklift at set out transfer stations.
They are exposed to toxic, reactive, wet and dry chemicals.
Show the utilization of all proper PPE whenever required
Keep up with safety tickets and required online training.
Learn to be a proficient user of the BDX computer system, using it to order product, receive product, keep an accurate count of inventory and ship product in the system to field warehouses and other bases.
Work positively with smaller groups (2-3 people) with a good work attitude.
Learn and utilize all CRM tools taught in new hire training.
Be available on an on-call bases 24 hours a day while on shift.

Bulk Plant Operator I
General Description: Under strict supervision, the Bulk Plant Operator is responsible for maintaining sufficient inventory for upcoming jobs and keeping the plant in good working order so that blending of materials can be completed in a systematic and well-organized manner.
To do this, the Bulk Plant Operator is also responsible for keeping an inventory of cement/additives, acids/additives and all chemicals on an ongoing basis. The Bulk Plant Operator will also schedule transportation, assist in blending acids and cement prior to shipment and order transportation from third parties on an as needed basis. The Bulk Plant Operator is ultimately responsible for blending and loading the cement, chemicals, and/or acid needed to perform each job, and for maintaining the bulk plant and chemical warehouse.

Check each machine schedule for the next job to be produced.
Locate and pull corrugated cases and other materials needed during the start of a Make-Ready on the gluer in a timely manner.
Read job jacket specifications for special instructions not limited to correct cases, dividers, labeling specifications, scored U-Boards and skid height.
Acquire working knowledge and develop basic mechanical skills to assist in the set up and maintenance of the tape machines.

Remove banding & excess corrugated material from work area. Sweep as needed and when machines go down for scheduled shut down/clean up at the end of shift.
Organizing work area using visual methods such as labeling, pictures, and defining specified locations for commonly used tools, documents, parts, etc.
Empty & replace Gaylord for corrugated scrap as needed.
Check supplies such as tape, corner boards, wrap and request as needed.
Lift up to 35 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs intermittently and up to 75 lbs rarely.
Stand up to 11 hours per day.
Bend, twist, climb, squat, kneel occasionally throughout the shift.
Uses hands for simple and power grasping, as well as push, pull and fine manipulation.
Work at and/or below shoulder level.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and work well with others.
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Qualified individual will prepare parts prior to the painting operation. Inspects and preps parts for conformance.

Must inspect parts for potential defects, blemishes, etc. Make a clear and concise decision on what needs attention.
Fix the areas that need attention by scrapping, sanding, etc.

Seal and wipe required areas.

Prepare parts for top-coat painting.
Re-inspect parts to ensure they are complete prior to releasing them to the paint operation.
