Candidates must have 3 years of factory related experience on industrial equipment that shows the candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude.
Candidates must be capable to handle the following physical demands of the job: ability capable to stand, lift, push, pull, bend, reach, and/or twist with 25 pounds repetitively for an entire work shift.
Preferred candidates will have experience in metal stamping/industrial equipment, set-up/operation of progressive stamping presses; material handling; documentation skills; basic safety; lifting; quality assurance; ability to read and understand blueprints, control plans and work instructions.
Preferred candidates are 'highly motivated', 'self-starters' with 'excellent attendance' who are willing to work over-time to meet changing customer demand and are flexible in regards to work schedule.
Job training will be provided specific for industrial equipment, quality standards, material handling needs and safety.

Press Operator/Die Setter
A. Performs a repetitive forming operation on different blanks to form various sized housing halves.
B. Follows detailed instructions and procedures, including operating manual and setup charts, for specifications and operating procedures.
C. Performs setup and changeover of dies and walking beams.
D. Checks work using Micrometer, Thickness Gauges, Dial Indicator, Cradle and Scribe Assembly, Flat Gauges, Shims, Height Gauges, Clamping Fixture, and Flush Pin Gauges.
E. Maintains visual alertness of blank feeding system, heating coil, and half unloading system 100%.
F. Makes adjustments to machine to maintain maximum quality as required.
G. Checks die lube system for proper operation and adjusts as necessary.
H. Detects and reports faulty operation of equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to assigned supervisor.
I. Maintains work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition.
J. Observes prescribed safety regulations, gauging frequencies, and other standards of operation and conduct.
K. Performs other related duties as directed.

This position is responsible for supporting production by means of direct labor to build product while meeting production goals and maintaining quality standards. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Wears all required safety equipment and ensures area and environment is safe
Operates, monitors and helps maintain machine/equipment (press, welders, cranes, forklifts etc)
Feeds equipment and tooling
Performs or assists in die changes
Move parts and product to appropriate positions
Lift/push/pull parts weighing at times anywhere from 10-35 lbs
Stand, walk, and move into and out of the work area
Perform daily operational checks to ensure safety
Perform quality checks and verify quality (first, middle and last offs, PQI books, SPC etc.)
Assist quality and maintenance personnel with issues related to production
Conduct daily cleaning of the work area
Repair product as required
Operate machinery as required
Identify and document problems, sets goals, tracks progress and works with teams to implement solutions
Report issues and concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Isothermal press team members will work with High Temperature furnaces and Isothermal Press Components to uniformly forge and heat isothermal parts to prescribed temperatures, duration and quenching process to manufacture parts with conforming grain structures.
Essential Functions: This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities, and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
Demonstrates understanding of isothermal forging processes in the capacity of successful forging of isothermal forgings. Reads work orders and blueprints to determine specified tolerances and sequences of operations.
Operates control systems for isothermal furnace loading operations. Operates Isothermal Press Controls to turn on, check system, initiate press set- up, load dies and tooling into press and remove tooling after forge run is complete. Assists in developing and writing procedural and operational work instructions, FMEA's and other required documentation
Monitors all system status and alarms, including, but not limited to, vacuum, cooling water, argon, air, electrical, furnace and die heater TC's, manipulator and part positioning, etc.
Follows all procedures and escalates accordingly any indications, alarms or system malfunctions.
Monitors quality of product to ensure meeting quality and dimensional specifications and takes appropriate action when out of specification product is identified. Ensure complete data for quality review before final submission to the customer. .
Measure and inspect parts using various inspection tools (Calipers, Gauges, Micrometers etc.) to ensure conformance to product specifications, fills out inspection reports and inspects/identifies sign of non-fill, wedge, tearing, lapping and cracking.
Completes accurate die stack assemblies and planning based on successful mastery of all other major job operations.
