The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services provides services that promote and improve agriculture, agribusiness and forests; protect consumers and businesses; and conserve farmland and natural resources for the prosperity of all North Carolinians. The Pouch Machine Operator Sets up and operates Totani pouchmaking machines that convert laminated films into pouches that meet or exceed customer quality specifications by performing the following duties. This opening is for a 1st shift position (6am-2pm), but must be available for frequent overtime (starting at 2am or 4am).

The Machine Operation position is responsible for the safe operation of high speed packaging equipment and ongoing cost effective operations in a multi-shift setting. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Machine Operator ensures the setup, safe operation, monitoring, cleanliness and quality standards of equipment.
