Ongoing management of product moving through the equipment infeed is critical at this position to ensure proper equipment operation and the prevention of equipment jams. Ongoing area clean up is performed by the operator throughout the shift.

The Meat Wrapper first and foremost is responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. Wrap the finished rolls of padding in plastic
There are 2 wrappers per Card Line. After the rolls are wrapped they are picked up and put in buggies by hand. Each card line will produce approximately 20,000 lbs of 1st quality padding per shift
Monitoring the quality of the product coming off of his machine.
Responsible for weighing the padding and giving the information to the Roll-up Operator.
Must break down the machine when there is a problem, such as jammed rollers, broke chains, etc.
Work with Maintenance personnel on machine breakdowns and to help with troubleshooting.
Responsible for helping with the entire clean up of his line
Report any deficiencies in safety, quality, or productions to the Card Line Operator.
Remove scrap from the roll-up and put into cages.
Drive Lift Truck to replace full buggies and move 12 foot rolls
Ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
Ability to communicate in standard English to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and to keep simple records and make reports.
Ability to maintain an acceptable level of attendance in accordance with company and department guidelines.
Previous Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Ability to Multi-task .
Must be atleast 18 years old.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds constantly throughout a 12 hour shift.

PURPOSE: Wraps, weighs, prices, labels and displays meat properly. Fills display cases. Maintains cleanliness of department and equipment. Ensures customer service and product quality, freshness, safety and selection.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to Company and Division customer service programs to meet or exceed Division customer service goals. Handles customer relations in a positive manner, including effective resolution of customer complaints and reporting to the Meat Manager or Store Director as appropriate. Utilizes knives, scrapers and other cutting and wrapping equipment. Utilizes cleaning supplies and equipment. Utilizes safety cutters. Requires use of safety gloves.
May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. Scheduled hours will vary. Good attendance is required.
Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to cutting equipment and other work aids necessary to perform job duties.
Hands are frequently exposed to moisture while handling and stocking poultry, meat, fish and other fresh product. Requires the ability to work for prolonged periods of time in an environment range of 40˚ to 50˚ Fahrenheit. Hands are frequently exposed to 30˚ Fahrenheit while handling product in the display cases.
Exposure to 28˚ Fahrenheit while handling products in cooler and -20˚ Fahrenheit while handling products in freezer.
Working conditions consist of a temperature controlled store environment.

MEASURE OF SUCCESS
Operate electric skid loader to transport skids to and from the bag lines under the general direction of the line supervisor.
Transfer filled skids to the wrapping stations placing them per requirements for automatic wrapping.
Operate the automatic wrapping equipment to wrap skids minimizing the excess waste of wrapping materials.
Monitor bag weights during the filling process. Retain product samples at assigned intervals.
Operate/change bag coder to assure that the packaging is properly identified.

Responsible for ensuring that all company policies are being followed and the department goals are being obtained. Contributes to store sales and profitability by effectively managing all aspects of the Meat department such as stock levels, inventory, and customer service.
