ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Review 5s checklist with previous operator
Communicate with previous operator about possible problems or special instructions
Set up/operate equipment to prepare material for Calender
Follow instructions on the computer schedule, ensuring all material is labeled/coded correctly
Monitor equipment: Take-off lines, 84" & 100" mills, to ensure production process is in working order
Operate variety of production equipment as business needs require
Inspect material for defects, inconsistencies
Ensure all batch tickets correspond correctly with order specifications (Batch numbers, Stock ID with proper suffixes, mix dates, labels for tickets)
Complete required documentation/paperwork as required
Complete downtime sheets
Pickup and sweep in front, between, and behind presses
Maintain/Continue green initiatives

Ability to comply with existing safety standard

POSITION SUMMARY:
Tarkett is seeking an experienced Mixing and Calender Team Lead to join our successful and growing team in Middlefield, Ohio. Position is required to assist with the daily job functions of the Mixing and Calender Supervisors. Provide guidance for other mixing and calender team members and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate with other Shift Leads and Supervisors relaying production or associate related issues

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides assistance to SYGMA Delivery Drivers by properly delivering and unloading product for SYGMA customers according to customer invoices and company standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards (e.g. handling product according to preferred work methods, scanning product as it is delivered into the store).
Picks up, loads and unloads damaged goods and customer returns.
Provides assistance to driver in route with map reading and giving directions on route; helps with situations involving low clearances (e.g. getting out of vehicle and directing driver under a low underpass to ensure proper clearance); assists driver in backing situations by getting out of the truck and watching for hazards.
Assists driver in ensuring all paperwork is completed according to established company and governmental guidelines (e.g. pre-and post-trip inspections, ensures all invoices are accurate and turned in daily and all damages and shortages are reported promptly).
Ensures all food safety protocols are met according to established guidelines (e.g. proper temperatures are maintained in the delivery vehicle, product is inspected for visible damages prior to delivery, product is delivered and stored to prevent cross contamination) and maintains sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer; assists with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard.
Follows preferred work methods at all times, and immediately advises supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallets, load bars, SLS unit, and personal protective equipment.
Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.
Communicates with management team regarding any deviations to route, trailer or loading issues and/or customer or product issues.
Works assigned schedule and works overtime as needed; exhibits regular and predictable attendance. Other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, or the equivalent in work experience is preferred. Previous food distribution and frozen food handling experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Class A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of: Safe lifting and delivery practices.
Skill in: Communicating with customers; solving problems; delivering product.

Description:
Assists workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as: keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning working area, machine, and equipment; assisting journeyman by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by mechanic, supervisor or shop lead. Essential Responsibilities
The mechanic helper repairs and overhauls buses, coaches, trollies, trams, railway cars and other automotive vehicles
Specific Responsibilities
- Plans work procedure
- Raises vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle
- Removes unit such as engine, transmission, or differential, brakes valves and front and rear suspension
- Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear
- Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings
- Overhauls or replaces, blowers, generators, starters, alternators and A/C components
- Rewires lights, and instrument panel, trouble shooting
- Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns front end, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, and solders leaks in radiator
- Mends damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts
- Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, windshield wipers, and windshields

- Knowledge of computer software associated with specific diesel engines
- Strong electrical knowledge a plus
- Must know hand powered and manual tools
- Ability to work under minimum supervision while working in a team-oriented environment
- Automotive/Diesel training / certification a PLUS!
- Ability to work under pressure under strict deadlines
- Communication both verbal and written
