The Housekeeping Status Board Operator answers incoming telephone calls to the housekeeping department and logs information regarding problems/situations which require prompt attention, guest service requests, and assists in the scheduling of Guest Room Attendants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates with Front Desk regarding early check-outs and stay-over hotel guests.
Updates the Supervisors as to the available-dirty and vacant rooms that need to be cleaned.
Coordinates with Supervisors regarding the status of available rooms and updates the computer accordingly.
Notifies Supervisors of room changes that affect room status.
Issues room shampoo requests to Supervisors.
Attends to guest room needs such as any lost and found items, irons, coffee pots, extra blankets, cribs, etc.
Logs all lost and found items and coordinates their storage with Security.
Coordinates and follows up on requests for repairs with Engineering.
Prepares and submits all required paperwork and reports for the Executive Housekeeper.
Performs the duties of a Guest Room Attendant if the need arises.
Maintain an open line of communication with Supervisors and Managers concerning all Housekeeping and Guest Service related issues.
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow Team Members, Guests and Vendors.
Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
Maintains cleanliness of Housekeeping offices.
Other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in housekeeping or customer service in a similar casino/hotel environment preferred.
