Individual will: be involved in leadership work at an assigned recreational area; will supervise, instruct and participate in games; assist in organizing recreational activities; be responsible for transporting campers from Armory to pool or on field trips; provide correct, courteous answers to verbal inquires; and perform other duties as assigned. Counselors must be able to perform all job duties in extreme heat conditions, including summer temperature of 95 degrees and above. Employees in this position work under supervision, and their work is subject to frequent inspection and review by supervisory personnel through conferences and attendance reports.Minimum Qualifications

Waterski Camp Counselor
Camp Tapawingo is seeking Waterski Instructors for the upcoming summer. Camp Tapawingo is located in the beautiful western mountain region of Maine. This position begins June 16th and ends August 12th. Our staff are provided meals, housing and partial travel reimbursement.
Waterski Instructors plan and teach waterski classes. We are located on a semi-private lake and have the rights to be the sole ski/motor boat on the body of water. It is an undeveloped body of water which means that you get to enjoy the pine trees, mountains and call of the loon from your summer "office."
We are looking for:
- Experienced and passionate water-skiers
- Coaching or teaching experience is a plus
- Current Lifeguard Certification (or able to obtain this)

Basketball Summer Camp Counselor
Camp Chipinaw & Silver Lake are looking for basketball instructors for the Summer of 2018. We are searching for outgoing staff with fun personalities who can teach the game to our campers aged 7-16. You will also get to have a full camp experience by being a bunk counselor as well.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
- Customer Service and Leadership skills
- Intermediate knowledge of boating such as kayaking, sailing etc.
- 1 year teaching experience with at least one type of boating discipline such as sailing, kayaking, SUP, or canoeing preferred
- USSailing, ACA Certifications preferred
- Basic proficiency in speaking Spanish, Portuguese (and/or Hindi for MA locations only) preferred
- Drivers License
- Red Cross CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard or Equivalent

Summer Camp Counselor
Under the direction of the facility Camp Director and Group Leader, assists in implementing any one of the following enrichment programs: Summer Day Camp, Klub, Summer O’ Fun, EB Explorers, Tiny Tots, Movie Night, Klub Night Out, general recreation activities, and Afternoon Beach Camp.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Arrive at camp daily no later than 8:30am.
Remain at camp daily until at least 12:30pm or 3:30pm depending on role and responsibilities, or until Camp Director releases you for the day.
Assists Camp Directors in implementing any one of the innovative enrichment programs to meet the educational and recreational needs of community youth.
Communicates urgent information in a timely manner to the Camp Directors.
Maintains a high level of customer service to residents and guests.
Maintains positive and supportive relationships with all community employees, residents, and directors in order to facilitate accomplishment of the community’s goals.
Ensures that appropriate safety measures are carried out based on the guidelines provided by camp director.
Responds positively to appropriate and timely feedback provided by Camp Directors and supervisors to achieve the best possible performance. Discusses performance with the Camp Directors on a weekly basis.
Maintains a high level of cleanliness for community facilities after each use by using staff resources and by working closely with community maintenance crew.
Arrives on time to work on a daily basis. Tardiness will not be tolerated.
In the case of a Camp Director’s absence, assumes the role of the Camp Director as directed.
Must be available to start work June 11th and the role will end at the beginning of August.
