- 12hr. Rotating Night 8pm-8am*
Sets up and operates extrusion fill line from pellet form of polypropylene to finished filling product in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Doffs fill yarn packages, weighs, and makes tickets.
Patrols lines checking for quality problems.
Performs safe work habits and maintains clean and orderly work area.
Will perform other related duties as assigned by management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Frequency – Amount – Description)
STANDING / WALKING:
Ability to stand and walk continuously during an twelve (12) hour shift.
Ability to sit on seat of powered industrial truck for a short period of time.
Ability to move about extrusion area continuously during an twelve (12) hour shift.
Ability to climb stairs to platform and to QA Lab. Ability to climb onto and off powered industrial truck.
MOVING (MATERIALS): (Lifting – carrying – pushing – pulling)
Pushing/pulling – Ability to push a variety of tools and operate control levers. Ability to push an empty/full fill yarn truck containing up to 46 partial/full fill yarn packages.
Push one fill yarn truck at a time. Do not at any time pull fill yarn truck or any other [movable type] equipment. Get help when needed.
Lifting/carrying – Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds without mechanical assistance. Get help when needed.
Vertical – Ability to reach to full arm extension to perform job duties.
Horizontal – Ability to reach to full arm extension to perform job duties.
Must have adequate normal, color vision and depth perception to perform job duties. Ability to utilize both near and far vision while performing job duties. Ability to recognize defects.
BENDING / STOOPING:
Ability to bend, stoop, squat or kneel throughout an twelve (12) hour night shift.
Ability to make decisions regarding work priorities. Ability to read and understand computer screen charts. Ability to enter data in computer system. Ability to obtain powered industrial
Fingering – Ability to demonstrate good tactile discrimination and functional sensations.
Must wear hearing protection, safety glasses with permanent side shields, steel toe safety shoes and Mohawk issued/approved high visibility color at all times when in the warehouse and production areas. Must adhere to plant clothing and footwear policy. Wear personal protective equipment as required by task at hand.
Production Associate -Cloth Doffer - B Shift
Doff rolls of secondary fabric off sulzer looms and transport to material handler with the maximum amount of production and a minimal amount of off-quality.
Determine loom to be doffed.
Cut core to correct size.
Record picks and defects (if any).
Push roll from take-up to doff buggy.
Transport roll of fabric to alley for pick-up by material handler.
Perform all housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Reset pick clock to zero.
Must be a team player.
Must communicate effectively with department supervisor.

Assembly Associate I - Machine Operator - Spinner
Assist the AUTOCORO in maintaining the highest productivity possible. Operator cycles the job and performs duties as he/she cycles such as creeling, restarting red lights, doffing, taking care of malfunction lights, and loading empty cones into the cone elevator.
Must observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed. Will be responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions. Must attend all monthly scheduled Safety Meetings. Cycling job – allows operator to find other work elements which need to be performed. Cycle times should be 30 minutes in length. Creeling – replacing an empty sliver can with a full sliver can. Red Lights – a red light is activated when the piecer misses three attempts in a row or when the sliver has run out. Operator must determine the cause of the red light, correct it, and then restart. Malfunction Lights – go to the machine drive section with the malfunction. If it is a starter winder malfunction correct the problem and resume cycling. Any other malfunction or uncorrectable starter winder issue, notify the technician. Full Package Removal – remove the full doff package that the automatic doffer has doffed onto the conveyor belt. Starter Winder Station – Maintain cones in the empty tube/cone magazine, keeping yarn creeled into the starter winder and threading supply yarn breaks or run-outs in the starter winder. Requires being able to climb stairs at starter winder station and step stool for doffer. Clean the filter chambers every 2 to 3 hours. Perform assigned cleaning.
