A Order Filler / Picker is responsible for safe, secure, and accurate filling of customer orders. Replenish or pick product with direction from pick sheets or hand held computer. Obtains merchandise from bins or shelves to fill the order.
Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
Efficiently pick customer orders or shipment insuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped
Accurately count product inventory by location
Transport orders to shipping locations utilizing non-powered material handling equipment
Assist in physical inventories
Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area
Perform other duties as assigned by management or customer

POSITION SUMMARY: The Order Filler is responsible for quickly and accurately picking the correct items and quantities from the flow rack and packing them properly into the correct box on the pick line, according to the box plan.
FULL-TIME SUMMER (May 7 – Aug 24)
HOURS REQUIRED: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (40 hours) with occasional weeknight overtime (6pm – 8:30 pm) and Saturdays (8am – 4pm) during peak shipping weeks

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promptly completes all orders in their queue/assigned area
Assembles/starts boxes for new orders in queue
Assembles next box for existing orders when directed
Packs items into boxes according to box plan and packing procedures
Places "scuff" items in proper bins for pickup by returns department
Informs Line Coordinator of any packing issues or item/location problems
Keeps assigned area stocked, neat, clean and safe
Assists Line Coordinator and Shipping Supervisor with other tasks as directed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be enrolled and/or returning as a student at Bob Jones University
Must be 18 years old (OSHA requirement)
Self-motivated, self-disciplined, with a sense of urgency
Ability to remain focused on a task for extended time (no talking or cell phones)
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (2 hrs)
Good agility and hand-eye coordination
Good math and computer skills (RF experience a plus, but not required)
Willingness to take on/learn other tasks during slower periods
Ability to work well with others
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Machine Operator I is primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of assigned production equipment and processes. At this level, the operator is acquiring skills and experience and is not expected to be highly proficient with all job responsibilities.

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as a Drum Filler located in Port Neches, TX. In this role, you manage all aspects of unloading, storing, staging and filling of 55 gallon drums for use in the packaging of finished products at the Port Neches chemical manufacturing site. Duties are directed by the Operations Coordinators in loading and unloading areas.
