Rubber Molder (Pool)
Description SUMMARY Operates a range of manufacturing equipment for the production of rubber molded sealing products within assigned team. Inspects parts for conformance with quality criteria. This position is the entry level for the Rubber Molder job family.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions as defined by the ADA, except those that begin with the word ‘may'.) 1. Operates multiple combinations of equipment and tools in assigned team. 2.
Complete daily production paperwork including move tickets, quality log sheets and safety checks. 3. Performs 100% trim and inspection and identifies and segregates scrap. 4. Identifies and explains process, material and equipment problems and notifies supervisor or other appropriate individual. 5.
Counts (including weigh counting), packages and boxes parts according to work instructions and/or customer requirements. 6. Maintains a neat and orderly workstation consistent with our industrial housekeeping (5S) standards. 7. Moves parts or other products or materials by hand or using a hand truck. 8.
Perform SPC charting as necessary. 9. Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggests ways for continual improvement. 10. Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve. 11.
Follows EHS rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings and CBT, and suggests ways for continual improvement. 12. Promptly reports personal injuries and unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them. 13. Performs related duties as assigned. Position Requirements

Understands manufacturing process and quality acceptance criteria for parts produced. 5. Administrative abilities necessary to plan and prioritize own work, complete work on schedule and maintain required records and logs. Completes forms correctly and legibly. 6.

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to forty pounds on a daily basis. 2.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. Works in areas that can be uncomfortable due to noise, odors, and temperature extremes. 2.
Works regularly with machines where carelessness could result in cuts, bruises, burns or muscle pulls. Serious injuries can be avoided if established safety precautions are followed. The cores are delivered to the molding floor by the foundry support group. The molder is responsible for cleaning and preparing the cores for the mold assembly based on the information described in the job specific work instruction.SPECIFIC DUTIES:Clean and prepare cores for the molds.Assemble the molds
Have the assembly inspected by a supervisor or a lead person prior the closing the mold.Wand the parts specific traveler for the mold.Notify your supervisor that your mold (s ) are ready to pour.Clean up your work area to keep it tidy and safe for other workers and the pour-off crew.A molder must be able to:Stand for six to eight hours.Sit for 30 minutes.Operate rotary tools for grinding or drilling holes in sand cores.Must be a team player.Must be able to work by ones self or in a team.Must attend training sessions.Must be able to wear personal safety equipment such as glasses, face shields, goggles, steel toed shoes and ear protection. Mold Process Technician - Plastic Injection Molder
Responsible for the efficient and safe operation and quality of an assigned section of machines or department. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Checks the master and daily department schedules for any changes, repairs, special instructions, or other tasks.
- Sets and monitors machine contrast, mixture machine blender, regulates temperatures, volume of plastics, and monitors pressure and time.
- Maintains all machines as per control standards, and ensures the monitor, plug, cycle sheets and any other documentation are updated and accurate.
- Ensures that quality of products meet or exceed the standards.
- Investigates, repairs or plugs off any quality defects, cleans system of any defective parts and re-qualifies the process for accepted production.
- Perform color, material, board shots, and repair shots as per schedule.
- Checks the machines, mold, and auxiliary equipment to maintain proper running condition and submits a maintenance work ticket as needed.
- Controls all waste, scrap, and regrind. Keeps machines and department in a clean and safe condition.
- Communicates with out-going shift personnel for any problems or assignments to be completed.
