Generous Vacation Package JOB PURPOSE The Director of Marketing and Communications oversees all Marketing and Communications in the Manny Cantor Center, and supervises the marketing and communications staff and consultants. In addition, the Director supervises the Arts School Senior Manager. The Director serves as a strategist and a practitioner, creating marketing and communications plans to support and grow MCC’s diverse range of programs and overseeing their production and distribution. The Director will create positive visibility and awareness through all forms of media, including print and digital advertising, print collateral, social media, public relations, strategic alliances and partnerships, and direct marketing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Business Strategy: Marketing and Communications (60%)
Develops a strategic marketing and communications framework for the Manny Cantor Center. Refines and implements a clear and consistent branding strategy across its website, social media, and collateral. Works in partnership with MCC Executive Director on fundraising initiatives, and other events and campaigns.
Creates and executes strategic, goal-oriented campaigns and promotions for fitness, preschool, arts school, community events, and other revenue streams in partnership with Manny Cantor Center-based programs.
Tracks programmatic communications efforts against explicit revenue goals.
Keeps abreast of the competitive landscape and determines messages to differentiate from competition.
Executes a press strategy to elevate awareness, publicity for, and coverage of Manny Cantor Center programs.
Builds and manages excellent interdepartmental relationships across the Agency to ensure successful planning and execution of marketing of events and local activities. Management (40%) • Supervises the Marketing and Communications Associate., Marketing consultants, and Arts School Senior Manager. • Leads and guides the internal team of program staff in managing social media, e-newsletter, website, and collateral production. • Leads and guides the Art School Senior Manager in the ongoing success and growth of the Art School. • Manages consultants and vendors, including graphic designers, printers, mail houses, digital consultant, and publicists. • Coordinates marketing and communications efforts in conjunction with the Educational Alliance where needed. • Maintains marketing inventory, signage, and wayfinding, identifying programmatic and building needs. • Oversees all printed and digital materials for outreach, audience building, and program registration. • Works in close partnership with managers of e-commerce, online registration, and fundraising software to track progress of attendance, revenue goals, and fundraising. • Provides fiscal management and oversight for the department as well as other program’s marketing budgets, working in close partnership with other Manny Cantor Center programs. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications, or related field, Master’s Degree preferred;
Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience preferred;
High degree of personal accountability with significant emphasis on internal and external customer service;
Outstanding written and oral communications skills;
Uses diplomacy, persuasiveness, and a confident consultancy style to guide stakeholders in supporting the most effective Marketing Communication strategies;
Strong analytical, planning, and organizing skills;

The Abdominal Transplant Surgery Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA-C) provides direct patient care services for surgically ill adult, adolescent and pediatric patients on an intermediate and/or step-down unit or in the clinic in collaboration with residents and surgeons. The NP or PA performs physical exams, collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, coordinates the care and discharge of patients, may assist in the operating room and provides direct patient care services. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching and provides leadership in the organization.
Primary hours will be fourteen 12 hour shifts 7 days a week covering days, night, weekends and holidays. Flexibility is required to meet clinical needs of the service.
Work requires completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant Program.
3 years of nursing experience for NP's. Will consider new grad PAs.

Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required. National certification as a NP required prior to or within 6 months of employment. PA's must be licensed in the state of North Carolina, and be certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Must demonstrate and maintain credentialing and licensing requirements of Medical Center and The North Carolina Medical Board.
Specific Job Responsibilities and Standards
- In collaboration with attending surgeon(s) and/or residents, round daily on patients to assess, diagnose, plan treatment, set priorities and realistic outcomes, and evaluate the effectiveness and cost efficiency of patient care.
- Provide and coordinate clinical care for service specific patients through established protocols and under the hospitalist supervising physician or back up physician who is either on site or available by pager.
- Collaborate with the chief resident, residents, fellows, attending other NP/PA colleague's nurses, and patient resource managers to formulate treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Assess patients for change in status and institute appropriate interventions. Initiate emergency interventions in an effort to stabilize the patient until physician support arrives.
- Postoperative stabilization and management.
- Develop patient care pathways, protocols and guidelines for the management of specific problems in conjunction with physicians and other members of the health care team.
- Communicate verbally and in writing all pertinent patient information to supervising MD, nursing staff, patient resource manager, home health agency, and other relevant healthcare providers.
- Document in the patients' medical record all relevant data including but not limited to results of diagnostic tests; laboratory results; patients' condition and response to therapies/interventions; communications with supervising MD.
- Prescriptive authority for prescribing, ordering, and or administering drugs; including (but not limited to) schedule II, III, IV, and V drugs and necessary medical devices.
