Summary/Objective: The Pack Cell Operator position is responsible for operating the cartoning, casing, and bagging equipment on H-Line, making necessary adjustments, and performing quality assurance checks on a timely basis.

Perform basic mechanical skills. Perform changeovers and troubleshoot the line without assistance. Must be able to train other team members on process/machinery as necessary.
Track and change cartons and keep accurate case counts necessary to finish the production run. Operate the checkware, scales, metal detector and/or x-ray machinery. Physically lift empty cases onto the caser and lift full cases off of the line.
Maintain continuous communication with cartoner for case count accuracy and correct product. Understand the process flow of the assigned machines and possess basic mechanical abilities. Properly and correctly fill out all quality assurance check sheets and other paperwork within the required time frame.
Properly and accurately perform glue checks for quality assurance purposes. Troubleshoot line and efficiently run the machinery. Change scale settings and calibrate machine as necessary for correct product being produced.
Run production properly according to the applicable schedule. Understand the process flow of the assigned machines. Properly and correctly fill out all quality assurance check sheets within the required time frame.
Properly and accurately change the code date of product. Perform rework correctly, changeovers to different product, and troubleshoot line without assistance if necessary. Understand, observe and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy.
Maintain clean work environment and prepare work area for following shift personnel. Possess thorough understanding of all company policies, including GMPs and safety policies. Communicate effectively with other departments, managers, and other employees.
Immediately notify maintenance, line operations or supervision of any repairs or adjustments required. If necessary to use powered industrial equipment, the employee must obtain certification to do so immediately. The employee may have to arrive earlier/later than normal when start-ups or changeovers to different products occur. Check schedule regularly.

Auto Press and Manual Press Operator Responsibilities
- Operate screen printing press including set-up, printing & tear down of jobs with attention to detail, quality of print, accuracy and speed.
- Read and complete work orders accurately.
- Identify and troubleshoot common screen printing problems.
- Clean equipment including removing ink from screens, squeegees, press & tools.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times as well as promoting safety and cleanliness.
- Provide leadership for production assistants to ensure that they are performing tasks in an efficient and productive manner.
- Maintain equipment as required and notify management of any maintenance or repairs required.
- Miscellaneous tasks could be assigned such as exposing or cleaning screens, counting or stacking garments, mixing or modifying inks as production requirements dictate.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30lbs at times
- Regularly stand for long periods of time while reaching with hands and arms
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to warm or cold weather. The noise level in the work environment is often loud.

- 1+ years printing press experience may be substituted by comparable work experience
- Excellent attention to detail, and eye for quality control
- Capable of remaining calm and composed under pressure. Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong attention to detail, and eye for quality control

- Excellent oral and written communication
- Basic Computer Skills
- Specific vision abilities include sharp vision, focus, depth perception and ability to identify colors
- Can quickly perform common math skills such as multiplying in dozens or calculating production rates
- Ability to read, write and comprehend complex written or oral instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
