Hawthorne Army Depot, known as "The Largest ammunition storage facility in the world," is centrally located near the modest community of Hawthorne, Nevada, at the base of 11,000 ft. Mt. Grant and at the south end of large and historical Walker Lake on Highway 95. This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
Prepare cargo for shipment by land, sea, or air by blocking, bracing, staying, and securing. Follow Safety Data Sheet guidelines for handling, storage, and disposal of Hazardous Materials. Follow WPM/IPPC regulations.
Examine ammunition and components, determine required location in conveyance, note critical measurements, weights, and weight distribution of items in accordance with applicable regulations.
Interpret blueprints, weapons requirement specifications, and sketches. Use practical mathematics. Determine proper procedure from a variety of work methods and frequently devises methods of operations.
Cut and fabricate blocks, spacers, crates, boxes, and palletizing material for use in production packaging. Install blocking and bracing against walls, floors, and overheads.
Fabricate, fit, and install wooden bracing to secure odd shaped boxes, crates, large bombs, or missiles to withstand severe stress. Build temporary decking, bulkheads, and cribbing as required.
Utilize rip and band saws, drill presses, and various other hand and power carpenter tools to accomplish the above. Salvage used lumber for reuse in cribbing operations.

May be assigned occasional duties of a higher level of difficulty than those listed above. Maintains high ethical standards, overall values of the business, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct to include cooperating during Company investigations.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months experience as a Blocker and Bracer or one (1) year rough carpentry preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential.
CERTIFICATIONS: Must satisfactorily complete all the Training and Certification Programs for personnel working in Ammunition Operations required by AMC Regulation 350-4 within 90 days of hire. Maintaining current certification is a condition of continued employment.
LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada driver's license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance as well as a clearance with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
OTHER: Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. Perform safety sensitive duties.

This entry –level position primary job is to wash the exterior and interior of a vehicle according to the customer's wishes. These tasks may involve a simple shampoo, vacuum or more specific work like cleaning the trunk, ashtray or engine. This position is expected to work long hours with frequent standing and moving, and be exposed to extreme heat or cold and usually work weekends and holidays.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform interior and exterior car cleaning activities as trained
Dust loose dirt and wash cars off with water
Ensure that car windows and doors are properly secured before dusting and washing
Adjust water pressure in hoses to ensure that no damage occurs
Mix soap and water in appropriate quantities
Use cloth or sponge to soap cars and wash them down
Ensure that windscreens are not scratched during the soaping procedure
Hose down cars properly and make sure that no trace of soap is left behind
Dust the interior of the car and make sure that any trash is disposed-off properly
Polish interior surfaces and vacuum carpeted area inside the car
Make sure that the roof of the car is cleaned or wiped according to instructions
Wax and polish the car from the outside

Put back place mats after dusting, washing and drying them
