Inserter Operator - 2Nd Shift
We currently have positions available on the 2nd shift for Inserter Operators . An Inserter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining equipment used to fold, match and insert multiple pieces of printed material into an envelope.
- Sets up inserting equipment at the beginning of each job according to the specifications provided on the job ticket and runs the inserters
- May operate various inserting equipment
- Inserts address tags into mail sacks, tubs or trays used for bulk mailing of ID Cards, kits, subscription magazines and catalogs
- Keeps work area in order and staged with product and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Performs quality control during each mailing to ensure product meet USPS requirements
- Reads postal statement and sorts mail accordingly
- Maintains equipment, troubleshoots equipment problems, performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required and identify repairs if needed
- Makes adjustments as required to return output to the proper specifications
- Communicates status of jobs to leads or managers
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager

EMH&T is currently looking for a Survey Crew Member to work with our survey team based in our Charlotte, NC office.
This full-time general laborer role will be assisting survey operations in the field as a Rod Person under the direction of a Survey Crew Chief or a Survey Instrument Operator. Primary responsibilities include driving metal and wood stakes, holding survey rod, and ensuring that survey supplies and equipment are prepared for the survey tasks at hand. May perform maintenance of certain equipment and maintain adequate supplies and carry supplies from the truck to the survey site. Will be given direction and will assist with other various field duties in the process of data collection.
Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent. No Survey experience needed. Training will occur on the job. Qualified candidates must possess:

- Be able to hammer up 2 hours to 8 hours per work day.
- Be able to withstand bending and squatting while hammering stakes, setting up equipment and/or clearing vegetation. Bending and twisting and manual dexterity required.
- Be able to lift and set aside 60-100-lb. manholes using manhole hooks.
- Be capable of using a machete, brush hook, or other tool to cut light brush.
- Be capable of wearing hearing protection when working near heavy traffic and highways, hard hat if required, and clothing appropriate for the weather. No short pants allowed.
- Must participate in an on-going drug testing program.
