Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and support Engineering, Quality, Refurbishment, and Operations to implement process and equipment improvements to maximize productive capacity and carbon/carbon part quality.
- Lean engineering to minimize waste and non-value added tasks, Identify and eliminate process idle time
- Evaluate current state and identify opportunities through sustainable value stream mapping
- Collect and analyze data, assess results and create reports to support engineering and manufacturing goals.
- Support Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) deployment at Level 1 for carbon operations.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation utilizing SAFRAN methodologies and quality tools.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs surveying functions for capital improvements, drainage, bridge, and storm water projects as assigned.
Serves to support the Survey Party Chief and the Survey Transit Operator in surveying assignments; holds stadia rod or level at designated points to assist in determining elevations.
Uses plats and maps to establish the location and elevation of surface features.
Calls out readings and records station number and readings; marks points of measurement with elevation station number or other identifying marks.
Measures distances between survey points using steel or cloth tape; sets stakes for canal layout, placing stakes at designated points for elevation requirements.
Uses the Global Positioning System (GPS) to precisely determine locations and elevations.
Cuts and clears brush from line survey using hand tools.
Utilizes metal detector to locate property line points to be used in determining distances between points.
Digs around drainage pipes to assure proper elevation for new pipes in canals, lot lines, and driveways.

3.Assists the Inserter Operator by verifying the components, tracking damaged mail pieces, completing applicable paper work, and by unpacking materials to provide support to the Operator and to learn the job functions of the Inserter Operator position. Assists in hand inserting projects as needed.
4.Prepares for jobs by stocking the work area with needed materials, specifications, and tray/bag tags from the designated areas to ensure the work station is equipped for the correct mail sort.
5.Assists the Inserter Operator to prepare the inserter for run time.
