This position will be responsible for the development and execution of the operational processes and standards in support of expanding the NeimanMarcus.com, LastCall.com, and Horchow.com product assortment through drop ship, marketplaces or other opportunities. The position will focus on optimizing and automating the onboarding of drop-ship suppliers, their respective product catalogs, the daily execution of customer orders with drop-ship suppliers, and vendor management with our drop-ship supplier community. This role will report to the VP of Assortment Expansion and Drop-Ship, and build out the team responsible for both onboarding and managing drop-ship vendors across our online properties. The position will work closely with the Category Management, Merchandising Operations, and Supply Chain organizations in addition to Product Management and Analytics.
Key duties to include:
Responsibilities of the team include onboarding new vendors and ongoing vendor management.
Deliver a consistent onboarding process and customer experience on our websites.
This person's team will also be accountable for achieving vendor set-up throughput targets, optimizing vendor compliance and efficiency through SLA targets, and partnering with banner executives on strategic initiatives to support business growth.
Drop Ship vendor compliance in order to maintain a high level of fulfillment optimization
Assist in developing and maintaining supplier partnerships
Organize and standardize processes and reporting
Manage current drop-ship vendor relationships
Be the lead contact and own sales-driving relationship with the 3rd party company that facilitates EDI to identify and onboard new drop ship vendors as well as expanded assortments, categories, problem solving, enhancement rollouts, reporting, and competitive analysis.
Create and monitor key KPI's making recommendations for process improvements
Identify technology and process improvements to optimize and streamline operational excellence and program expansion.
Enhance reporting to provide for effective issues resolution
Effectively Manage programs, projects, and high priority initiatives
Lead team to continually drive Drop Ship efficiency through troubleshooting of common issues, defect prioritization, testing & resolution, vendor reporting and partner education through training and documentation.
Manage, mentor and develop team for future growth within the department and organization.
Empower and lead team to act as Drop Ship technical liaisons between all banner functional teams including IT, Merchandise Operations, Buying/Planning/Category Management, and back office.
Support technical teams through detailed business requirements
Access and data mine information to identify trends and opportunities
Champion drop ship expansion within merchant organization for current vendor matrix as it relates to improved availability of sizes & colors
The ideal candidate will have relevant direct and indirect experience in the following areas:
Working with both internal buying teams and external vendors
