This is routine work in a variety of environments ranging from manual labor to semi-skilled work.
An employee in one of the above classes performs manual laboring tasks that may require skill in the use of small hand or power tools or operation of less complex types of power equipment.
Works as a member of a crew under close supervision or independently under general supervision. Work may require heavy physical exertion and may be performed under adverse weather conditions outdoors.
Shovels, spreads and rakes asphalt mix to proper thickness and grade on roadways. Assists in setting and resetting curbs.
Loosens and digs out areas with pneumatic tools for roadway repair. Digs excavations with a wide variety of tools. Cuts and assists in laying pipe.
Builds wooden forms for concrete. Mixes and rough finishes concrete. Assists in building, repairing, and digging up manholes and water or sewer inlets with various tools and power equipment.
Applies the proper amount of liquid patch to roadways by operating the controls of liquid patch spreader. Operates slag spreader and spreads slag by hand. Sets up barricades and lights in work zones or for emergencies.
Cuts grass with power mower. Assists skilled workers in a variety of maintenance tasks. Hauls personnel and materials to and from job sites in a pickup or small dump truck.
Installs recreation equipment. Cuts grass, rakes leaves, picks up debris, and performs a variety of other tasks to assist in the maintenance of parks or other City locations. Assists in planting trees and other landscaping duties.
Cuts back weeds, plants and brush. Performs other semi-skilled tasks. Performs related work as required.
Ability to read and write. A minimum of six months of paid experience in general laboring work. Requires a valid State of Ohio driver's license and may require possession of a valid State of Ohio commercial driver's license (CDL class and endorsements as required by division).
Basic knowledge of the methods, tools and equipment used in labor operations.
Ability to use small machines, hand and power tools, and less complex power equipment.
Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks.
Ability to understand and follow oral instructions. Ability to perform heavy manual labor for long periods of time, often under adverse weather conditions. List of essential functions available upon request.

Sewer Collection System Manager (2172-110)

The incumbent will be accountable for maintaining the highest level of service of approximately 3000 miles of wastewater collection system of various pipe sizes and types while optimizing the conveyance of wastewater flow to the wastewater treatment plants. Conducts collection system operations in a manner to minimize the occurrence of system overflows and promptly responds to system blockages and other operating problems, assessing maintenance or repairs needs, and providing resources necessary for problem resolution. Oversees the systematic cleaning and televising of the collection system. Participates in the planning and implementation of collection system capital improvements within the overall Project Capital Program. Oversees the production of accurate and timely regulatory, project and special reports required to document system status and performance.

Incumbent may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.

The Water and Sewer System Operator is responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the water, sewer, and other utilities through maintenance and repair practices, quality control procedures and utility installation. Experience in operation and maintenance of water utility systems.
Must possess a state license of a class 3. Higher than a class 3 is preferred. Valid driver's license from appropriate state.
Long hours sometimes required. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, taste and smell. Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Senior Carpet Cleaning Technician
The Senior Carpet Cleaning Technician is responsible for providing quality carpet and upholstery cleaning and other related services to customers. This position supervises Technicians on all pre-assigned jobs, as well as additional services purchased by the customer while in the home.
Ensures safe driving of Company vehicles to the next scheduled appointment
Surveys and discusses in detail with the customer any services to be completed
Explains and sells as many additional services that the customer may desire, including additional carpet and upholstery cleaning, carpet protector, deodorizer and spotter
Ensures that all pre-assigned jobs are successfully completed
Completes and reviews invoices with the customer and secures payment for service
Determines the Technician has properly secured all equipment in truck
Telephones the next customer to alert them of time of arrival and shares with dispatch
Remains constantly aware during the course of the day of supervisory responsibility toward the Technician to proper training to complete job assignments
Completes all paperwork upon returning to the branch, and turns in all invoices, payments and charges to designated person

Thoroughly clean and inspect carpeting within the Ballpark including inside the suites, and balcony floors. Also, maintain seat covers keeping them free of standing water, debris, and spills.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Ability to learn and operate all carpet cleaning equipment including but not limited to: Carpet extractors, Vacuum cleaners, and wet/dry vacs.
Inspect suite balconies prior to games reporting all maintenance issues using procedures in place
Ability to learn how and perform repairs on all balcony seat covers and balcony chairs
Ability to use brooms, dustpans, and vacuums to clean suite balconies of all debris
Daily treatment of all tile and carpet floors in the Club Lounge
