Washout Operator will locate and shuttle full trailers of whole carrots to the flume line for unloading, open gates, and remove empty trailer. Washout Operator will also operate hydraulic water pressure cranes to empty trailers of carrots into the flume elevator-conveyor system in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Responsible for heavy equipment operation including; forklifts, yard lifts, pallet jacks, and shuttle trucks. Moves shuttle truck to place product under washer, making sure that the correct load of carrots is being washed by checking paperwork against load information
Operates hydraulic water pressure crane to empty trailers of raw carrots into the flume elevator-conveyor system
Keeps track of loads washed for accurate data tracking
Writes ticket number, sequence, amount of load and time finished on tracking document
At times, employee will collect, rotate, dump and store raw-product into cull trailers, rotate stock in soaker shed storage, inventory stock in soaker shed storage, load transport trucks, and accomplish all other tasks requiring the use of specified heavy equipment
Will coordinate box changes to reduce overage and maximize efficiency and verify all tally file changes with Plant Operator
Perform general housekeeping and clean-ups as required
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of basic mathematical skills
Knowledge of e-mail, Internet software, manufacturing software, and Word Processing software
Must be able to follow instructions
Forklift certification required
High School Diploma or equivalent; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Category Specialist (Fresh Produce)
As a Category Specialist, you'll be accountable for developing and growing multiple categories, including potatoes, onions, carrots and citrus within the Southeast region, playing a critical role in shaping overall direction and supply plan. You'll be the go-to person on both strategic and tactical issues for Sales, Account Management, Supply and Leadership as you work with growers to develop 52-week programs. CLASS TITLE: NUTRITION SERVICES ASSISTANT I
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist in quantity preparation and serving of foods at the central kitchen or assigned school site; assist in maintaining food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
The Nutrition Services Assistant II classification is assigned to an elementary school site or the central kitchen. Incumbents work independently at an assigned elementary school and perform responsible and varied food service preparation activities.
Positions assigned to the central kitchen participate in production line activities and prepare production sheets. The Nutrition Services Assistant I classification performs basic and routine food service activities at the central kitchen or assigned school site.
Assist in quantity preparation and serving of foods at the central kitchen or assigned school site; assist in maintaining food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
Heat, fry, portion and serve food to students and staff according to established procedures; fill carts with condiments and food items; set up packaged foods, fruit, milk and desert items; count milk and juice containers.

6.Assure that sufficient quantities of pre-prepared items are available to meet projected demands and are stored in a manner, which increases their usefulness, as well as maintain quality.
7.Assure that only the quantities of items scheduled for use are requisitioned from the storeroom.
8.Assure that all prime cuts of meat are broken down properly by weight, that the waste in trimming prime cuts is minimized, and that meat scraps are properly utilized and the fat is retained for rendering.
9.Assure that an adequate supply of utility potatoes, carrots and onions are peeled; salad trimmed and fruit is cleaned and sectioned.
10. Assure that only the amounts needed of convenience salad dressing and soups are issued, appetizers and cold plates are prepared with the proper portions and that hot and cold foods are prepared on a timely basis.
11. Provide variety in menu preparation; within budgetary limitations.
12. Select recipes which offer a product that is tasteful and contains ingredients and portion sizes that will ensure that cost standards are being met.
