Hours and Compensation for Warehouse Carton Handlers:
- 1st shift 6:30am-5:15pm Monday – Friday $10/hour
- 2nd shift 4:00pm – 12:00am Sunday – Thursday $11

The purpose of this positions is to supervise and be an individual contributor as as needed for Pactiv's Paper Cup and Carton process engineering needs. This includes development and coordination of best practice and manufacturing standardization. Coordinates projects with plants and departments including capex, and operation support to meet company objectives.
- Working Engineering Manager of small technical group
- Establishes, coordinates and directs cup and carton process-improvement initiatives involving new methods, equipment and materials. Defines specification standards accordingly. (
- Monitors equipment condition to maintain necessary performance levels with the plant teams. Directs and coordinates predictive and preventive maintenance Check & Adjust with the plant engineers and tech managers.
- Provides technical operations support for cup and carton manufacturing problems. Develops and leads process-improvement initiatives to address specific issues as they arise.
- Develops OEE and Quality improvement plans with the plant Cup and Carton teams to meet Pactiv targets. Serves as the central conduit for associated information designed to improve quality and productivity.
- Supports materials innovation and savings via internal and external resources in substitution, alternative coatings and processing. Collaborates with Design and Manufacturing to drive engineered scrap and productivity opportunities.
- Coordinates and delivers training methods and capabilities including machinery, process, technique, safety, quality and productivity training. Provides “OJT” for tools, techniques and methods as necessary.
- Monitors the new and used equipment markets to maintain and research innovations and opportunities with vendors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and technical and trade associations.
- Bachelors in Engineering – preferred
- 10+ years of plant experience in technical and management roles - well versed in all facets of plant operations and maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Technical experience must include successful project management and working/hands-on knowledge of paperboard equipment, materials and processes.
- Demonstrated collaborative ability in dynamic organizational environments.
- ACAD proficiency a plus.
- Strong analytical skills using standard software packages such as Excel and maintenance work order systems to identify opportunities and validate holding improvement gains.
- 75% travel within North America
- Location - Lake Forest, IL preferred.
- Physical Demands: Office and manufacturing/production floor; lift up to 35 lbs.

The Feeder Catcher is responsible for supporting the finishing department with quality of the folding operation to meet customer specifications and production schedule. Responsible for placing paper board cartons into feeding machines. Picking up paper board material and cartons from the end line, and placing cartons into boxes.
Review and follow directions on job jacket per job run.
Supply feed section of equipment with carton blanks enabling gluer to maintain a continuous run.
Visually inspect cartons before packing into corrugated cases.
Report any quality issues or equipment defects to the line operator.
Perform quality checks as required.
Review palletizing specifications from job jackets and follow directions.
Apply labels to cases.
Ensure accurate quantities are packed.
Obtain corrugated supplies form the staging areas.
Communicate required information to co-workers and manager.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Follow safety rules and regulations.
Follow department and company policies and procedures.
Report all food safety and quality problems to the Operator, Department Lead, Manager or Quality Team.
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
