As a Metal Forming Machine Operator, you will:
Follow established die setting techniques in setting up coin presses for operation.
Use hand tools to remove certain coin press parts in order to reach dies.
Inspect coinage dies for defects prior to their installation on the presses, using a magnifying glass.
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as oiling, greasing and cleaning the presses.

Physical Requirements:
Work required moderate exertion including lengthy periods of standing on concrete floors, stooping, lifting, repetitive bending and reaching. Must lift objects weighing between 10 and 35 pounds. As a Metal Forming Machine Operator, you will:
Apply specialized skills, methods, procedures, and techniques to monitor and operate complex Grabener coin presses, sheet metal rolling mills to press scrap metal and defective coins into sheet metal, upsetting mills, and other production and support machinery associated with the coin manufacturing industry.
Monitor operation on presses, observe instrument panels, listen for deviations in normal rhythm and sounds and takes appropriate action to prevent mechanical failure and assures meeting high quality standards for completed coins.
Randomly select coins to determine acceptability, stops presses when a defect is found and takes steps to determine cause.

Physical Requirements:
Incumbents of this position frequently handle objects weighing up to 9 kilograms (20 pounds) and occasionally objects weighing up to 23 kilograms (50 pounds); however, hoists, lifts, and workers are available to assist in moving heavier items. They are required to lift, reach, push, pull, bend, walk, and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform duties as assigned. Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift. General mechanical aptitude & trouble shooting skills Inspect machines to ensure they are mechanically ready for operation. Ensure the glue is ready for production. Work on both ends of the machine performing the loading of WIP packing finished product.
Inspect all finished product for any defects. Weight the product for specific count and pack the product in a RSC. Tape and seal the product, place on the conveyor line.
Ensure glue is properly adhered to the product and meets bond test requirements. Accurately and thoroughly fill out daily production records and enter in the computer system. Maintain full compliance of all GMPs.
Maintain housekeeping excellence in accordance with Golden Broom Program. Follow all safety procedures and promote safety & safety programs throughout the facility. Perform all required customer and departmental quality checks, and make adjustments as needed.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
To operate a bottle forming machine.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Bottle forming machine, bottle tongs, hand tools, swabs conveyors, ware gauges, PC terminal etc.
TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Defect analysis (gauging and visual) and necessary adjustments to machine, feeder, stacker, etc., to improve
and maintain top quality.
2.To change or assist in changing blanks, molds, finish mold changes and record reason.
3.Body and finish mold changes.
4.Job change assistance.
5.Breakdown repair assistance.
6.Reporting to foreman or machine foreman any bad glass, bad machine conditions, or defective machine parts
which he cannot correct.
7.Adjusting temperatures of mold equipment to feeder.
8.Necessary doping and swabbing of mold equipment.
9.May be assigned responsibility for additional equipment up to and including the point at which the bottles enter the lehr.
10. Keeps work area, tools and equipment clean and orderly.
11. Performing any other duties assigned.
12. Gauge weight and selected physical dimensions on complete set out and/or random sample and record using
PC work station.
13. Requalify all cavities following major downtime.
14. Maintain any records or reports as directed.

Your Responsibilities:
Manually load cartons, partitions, carriers on to magazines of carton assembler, carrier erector, partition inserter and sees that these machines continue to operate and function as designed to do. Involves some button pushing.
Turns off equipment in case of malfunction and notifies supervisor or repairman. Checks for tab locks.
Unjams machines and conveyors by stopping it and removing materials.
Observes cartons for obvious defects, checks fiber tears; notifies foreman of any defects found.
Removes wrap and straps from pallet load. Unloads cartons and carriers from pallets.
Loads cartons, trays, carriers, partitions into automatic machines involving bending and lifting 30 to 40lbs. packages.
May manually fold and assemble cartons and insert interior packing (pads, liner, partitions) into assembled outer carton when equipment malfunctions.
Keeps automatic glue machines filled with glue.
Performs carton salvaging.
Keeps work area clean and orderly by sweeping the floors and picking up materials and waste.

The Headlines:
In the role of Operator Apprentice working in Wheat Ridge, CO you will be part of the Rocky Mountain Bottle Plant team.
Operators will receive day-to-day technical guidance from Area Specialists. You will start in this role as an Operator Apprentice, and develop into the role of a Specialist via a combination of classroom and on the job training. Progression to operator generally takes a year to complete. As you further develop your skills, opportunities are available to promote into Sr. Specialist and Team Leader roles.
Starting pay for these roles is $27.71 per hour, upon completion of training the position pays $31.80 per hour. MillerCoors offers a comprehensive benefit package effective with your first day of employment.
Employees work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule, with regular weekend work required. Note that weekend work is always automatically paid at overtime rates. .
The Responsibilities:
Continuously improves and maintains the Individual Section (I.S.) Machine as well as runs on or above target level of productivity.
Maintaining includes functions such as swabbing mold equipment, inspecting containers, preventing defects, changing equipment and maintaining housekeeping.
Actively participates in timely shift communications between inspection, tooling, machine repair, etc. and informs upkeep's and management of any process problems.
Assists in the replacement of variable equipment on the I.S. Machine when new parts are needed, such as hangers, baffles, blow heads, invert arms etc.
Observes all company rules concerning safety and housekeeping, and consults with specialists and line management to suggest solutions to any associated problems.
Performs visual inspections of bottles to include bottle finishes, ware handling on conveyors, weight checks, light sides and other visual defects using established inspection criteria.
The Other Qualifications –
You have knowledge of basic machine functions or a strong aptitude for mechanical repair.
You have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; technical school attendance or specific technical training is desired.
Able to work in a high-pressure production environment.
Ability to work in a self-managed team environment desirable.
1 to 2 years working with High Speed Machinery.
Written and Oral Communication skills a must.
You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization.
Trouble shoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.
Provide innovative solutions for production issues.
Provides support and guidance to less experienced personnel.
Completes appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.
Able to inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects.
Follow all safety guidelines and wear PPE.
Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills - written and verbal are required.
