Float Pool Super Float Registered Nurse (RN) Roles &
The role of the Super Float Pool Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift.
The Super Float Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
The Registered Nurse in the Super Float Pool position provides care for acutely ill patient in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse/RN licensure required
Certifications: BLS Certification required upon hire. ACLS required within 2 months of hire. TNCC and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
Experience: 5 years critical care experience in the areas of ICU, PACU, and/or ER required.
The GSE Servicer inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The GSE Servicer services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air, prepares GSE for storage and transportation, uses automated maintenance data systems to maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions and maintains external fuel and grounding systems. In addition, this servicer stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications, stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations, operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles. This worker maintains vehicle records, maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records, provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is desired. Must practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Requires 3 years of experience in this field.
Hydrant Systems Servicer
Performs routine inspections and basic maintenance on hydrant system components such as pits, high and low points and isolation vaults.

Samples are taken by attaching 2" hose to sample ports along the underground pipeline system. Attaching hose to these points involves twisting, and pulling, motion. The individual must also be able to open and close large valves on 20" product receiving and delivering pipelines quickly. Opening and closing these large valves involves twisting and pulling motion and sometimes considerable physical exertion.

Respiratory Therapist Register
