Job Title: Master Caster Furnace Operator
Job Type: Hourly
To efficiently and safely operate the Master Caster and Air Master Melt Furnaces to consistently produce alloys to meet PCC's metallurgical specifications. To produce vacuum ingots and castings.
Objective: to check equipment, and assure accurate proportions of each element in alloys produced in compliance with all Process Control Procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
A. Checks vacuum level, power supplies, liners and other furnace systems.
B. Prepares metal materials for air master melt and master caster process to meet element proportions per metallurgist schedule.
C. Builds Master Heat recipes using an alloy blending system.
D. Weighs materials to be melted (Revert and Virgin).
E. Uses and updates Electronic Heat Log and Furnace Clocks.
F. Loads and Fires Shells in Burnouts in accordance with Requirements (monitors all shell temps throughout cycle).
G. Prepare all Charges and Recharges for furnace loading (includes welding of hooks for overhead lifting).
Marginal Job Function:
A. Notifies appropriate personnel of low raw materials levels as needed.
B. Orders Raw materials (Revert, Alloy and Elements) as needed for production.
Objective: to operate both the Master Caster and Air Master Melt furnaces in order to complete melting and pouring of ingots and castings.
Essential Job Functions:
A. Maintains and monitors vacuum levels throughout melts according to PCC specifications.
B. Charges furnace by adding virgin or revert materials as required.
C. Takes sample of molten metal for lab analysis; makes calculations and adjusts the composition when out of ranges (Use an Alloy Blending System).
D. Approves start of pouring process when heat composition meets specifications.
E. Enter Pour Programs for each Workorder to be poured on Master Heat.
F. Operates the Master Caster furnace to pour alloy ingots and large vacuum castings; operates hydraulic systems, doors, cranes and hoists.
G. Assembles air casting bottom pour ladles and trigger mechanisms.
H. Operates Air Master Melt furnace to pour alloy ingots and large castings; operate hydraulic systems, large overhead cranes and bottom pour ladles.
I. Slag,DeOx, and prepares air master Melt heats in a variety of alloys for pouring into ingots and castings.
J. Pours test bar material to the casting specifications for each heat.
K. Rebuilds Master Caster bottom pour ladle systems. This includes Backpacks, Stopper Rods, Nozzles, and Hosts.
F. Weighs, marks, and documents all heats correctly throughout the master melt process.
Objective: to maintain air master melt and master caster power supply and furnace systems.
Essential Job Functions:
A. Maintains and monitors condition of melting coils, furnace linings, pouring ladles and equipment.
B. Cleans furnace of soot deposits.
C. Rebuilds vacuum ladles and backpack actuators.
D. Leak checks and repairs minor or major vacuum leaks.
E. Changes oil in diffusion and other pumps.
F. Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical failures on furnace systems.
G. Rebuilds Burnout Furnaces as needed.
H. Works with maintenance to perform preventative maintenance and repair the furnaces as needed.
4.Completes accurate logs, production reports and records.
5.Provides work direction, training, and working supervision as assigned.
6.Meets all production and quality standards.
Objective: to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.

Inspects work piece for defects (welds, paint imperfections, scratches, dents, etc.), determine non-conformance, and next step of production.
Marks identifying code, kanban card, etc., on work piece to indicate destination for further processing.
Secures parts to skid for transition to next production area.
Transfers items to and from work area using hand truck, jack up truck, hand carts, etc., based on part to be moved.

Maines Paper & Food Service is seeking Certified Delivery Helper to assist drivers with deliveries and drive company vehicles and are responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of food products to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist delivery drivers on overnight deliveries, when required
As needed, operate Non-CDL straight trucks safely and efficiently to maximize miles per gallon.
Comply with DOT regulations and regularly utilize on-board computers to manage DOT log requirements.
Use a hand cart to unload product from the back of the truck into customer locations.
Pick up backhauls as directed.
Remove product from trucks and deliver to customer at their desired location (i.e. freezer, cooler).
Interact with customers to resolve delivery issues.
Maintain positive customer relations at all times.
Operate a hand held scanning devise to confirm order accuracy.
Complete necessary paperwork for customer billing.
Enter information into vehicles ELD computer.
Occasionally enter assigned locations during off hours to deliver product by following outlined security procedures.
Maintain an accident free delivery.
Clean out vehicles at the end of route.
Perform proper pre and post-trip inspection and write up any defects or concerns on vehicle condition report.
Review ELD report with Transportation Supervisor.
Turn in monies from customers to the Driver Check In Clerk (i.e. COD).
Ensure safety, timeliness, and accuracy of all role requirements.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The Mill Room Helper is responsible for relieving the Mill Room Operator during breaks and lunches. They are responsible for operating the processing equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure we are manufacturing safe and quality product in accordance with the production schedule.
Provide relief for the Mill Room Operators as needed during lunches and breaks.
Fill in for Mill Room Operators when they are absent from work due to illness, vacations, etc.
Safely and effectively operate Mill Room Operations to include proper observation of lockout/tag out and other safety procedures.
This role is primarily to relieve the Mill Room Operators that includes learning the role in depth.
Review the batching line-up several times daily and address any priority changes as needed.
monitor and ensure proper batch formulas are being used. Ensure that all production meet formula and batching requirements.
Monitor grind quality a minimum of 3 times per hour.
Coordinate with Mill Operators to ensure production schedule is met and batching downtime is minimized.
Monitor and document down time by cause.
Safely and efficiently operate the Mill Room equipment to including batching procedures, reporting requirements and using proper lockout/tag out procedures.
Monitor inventory of major and minor ingredients and inform Shift Manager of any potential issues.
Ensure FIFO of bagged ingredients.
Troubleshoot issues to ensure continued efficiency and productivity of plant.
Logging and tracking rework totes as they are created.
Responsible checking bins in a timely and efficient manner for accuracy and levels.

The Filler/Helper is responsible for operating, setting up, changing over, assisting, or tending to machines in order to package paint in a safe, consistent, and efficient manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
Adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product.
Tend to or operate machines that package product.
Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.
Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature.
Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
Secure finished packaged items by hand tying, sewing, gluing, stapling, or attaching fastener.
Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
Clean and remove damaged or otherwise inferior materials to prepare raw products for processing.

1 or more years experience of industry-related work preferred but not required
