Roto Mold Machine Operator

This is a temp to hire Roto Mold Machine Operator position for 2nd and 3rd shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Set up machines and equipment utilized for plastic molding
Verifies set up of plastic molding machines, including proper mold alignment and curing temperatures
Initiates changes in molds and core alignment, and timing cues of casting machine to correct defects
Reject non-conforming parts as needed and places them in designated areas
Trim and deburr excess parts
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products
- Follows appropriate safety regulations, and maintains a clean work area.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs- Must be able to repetitively up to 25lbs.
Injection blow molding experience preferred
Must have a great hand/eye coordination

Configures batteries based on order and / or standard operating procedures (SOP)
Prepares the batteries for shipment, including such duties as crating, strapping packing additional parts based on order and / or operating procedure
Boxing up parts for specific batteries depending on upcoming orders and SOP
May involve loading trucks
QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
One to three years of manufacturing experience, preference given to experience with batteries and / or mechanical processes.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical instructions.
Effectively communicate with co-workers, customer and management.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Prefer the ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions to help determine the work that needs to be performed
Prefer an understanding of basic electricity/electronics in order to troubleshoot problems

Assist in unloading ovens and in other duties related to pouring operations in all areas such as positioning molds, removing molds after pouring, moving molds to cooling area. Exercise care in handling molds to avoid damage.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual conditions to supervisor.
Follow prescribed safety regulations. Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Must know and follow all departmental and company safety rules. QUALIFICATIONS
