Machine operator is responsible for ensuring that coated Logs/master rolls are slit according to customer specifications and that quality issues are identified and reported.
Comply with all job related ISO quality procedures and customer specifications
Prior to loading the machine, review the work order (i.e instructions, material requirements, process notes as applicable) and visually confirm that the proper Log/Master rolls have been prepared and staged
Prior to slitting material, ensure that machine has been properly set to meet width, length, trim, and quantity product specifications
Prior to slitting any material, ensure that all rollers are cleaned and free of any contaminating residue
With hoist, assistance, or no assistance (log orders only), load prepared shafts for new cut
Using the correct lifting method, load the log/master roll
Using the correct lifting method, unload and store roll shafts
Prepare and set slitter blades properly and lubricate as necessary to minimize wear.
Operate the controls to load, splice, remove defective material (previously flagged), and unload machine.
Cut and splice material throughout the run as necessary
Troubleshoot and resolve web and quality problems
Report material issues/defects and/or equipment issues to respective Supervisor
Pack finished goods
Perform other duties as required and directed

Location: Boston based, covering Northeast Regional States
Candidate will provide field applications support to Strategic and Key customers for Analog Devices Wireless RF & High-Speed converter and mixed signal products. This involves working with customers, sales teams and products lines to identify key opportunities and position the best solutions tailored to customer needs to grow Analog Devices market share. Complete Grede Fork Truck Training and hold a valid fork truck license.
Fill the converter ladle with the required amount of iron as specified by the Pressure Pour Operator.
Add the requested amount of silicon as specified by the Pressure Pour Operator.
Transport iron to the specified treatment area.
Monitor the treatment process to ensure good magnesium reaction.
Report any abnormalities during the treatment process to Melting and Molding Supervision.
Perform daily inspection of converter lift truck.
Complete the inspection check list and forward to supervisor.
Notify supervision immediately of any unsafe conditions found during inspection.
Maintain the converter ladle in good operating condition, i.e., chamber plate holes open and of proper size, magnesium hatch seal, door seal, nose hole, slag removal.
Assist in the maintaining of the holding furnace spout and receiver and slagging operation.
Maintain and control the holding furnace temperature.
Record and plot data, notify supervision of any out of specification conditions.
Maintain contact with melt deck and pouring station to ensure proper batch size, alloy additions, temperature, delay or special instructions.
Utilize delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities.
Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.

Develops weekly, monthly, and annual work schedules. Develops regular work plans. The duties include installation, repair, correction, troubleshooting and modification work as well as preventive maintenance of the equipment. Maintain and repair HVDC Valves modules, HVDC Controls, and fiber optic interface components.
Performs switching in high voltage substation and switchyards which may involve receiving and releasing clearances. Monitor and analyze day-to-day HVDC converter operational performance and maintenance problems. Assist the foreman or engineers in developing comprehensive preventative maintenance and testing programs, methods, procedures and safe work practices.
