Call Description Job Classification:Non-exempt, Full-time Reporting Relationship: Right-of-Way Superintendent Primary Accountability: The Tree Trimmer 3rdYear is responsible for effectively and efficiently conducting all right-of-way clearing and spraying in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with the system requirements, to ensure quality electric service. This position promotes effective public and member relationships in the course of work on their properties. Major Duties:
Obtains direction assignment from the Foreman or designated supervisor and performs assigned tasks as directed.
Provides accurate completion on all pertinent forms which pertain to the job including time sheets and inspection forms.
Performs all right-of-way activities from an aerial device or rope and saddle around any primary conductor(s) without supervision.
Understands minimum separation as it applies to line clearance.
Demonstrates the ability to perform a pre-climb inspection.
Understands proper pruning practices.
Knowledge of safe work practices near energized conductors.
Demonstrates the ability to access tree canopy using either the foot lock or hip thrust method.
Ability to remove over hanging limbs and/or wood with ropes from a mechanical lifting device.
Performs all trimming and cutting operations necessary for right-of-way control within the limits set forth in this job description.
Applies chemicals under the direction of the Foreman or designated supervisor, using recommended techniques and precautions.
Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with all personnel.
Receives and accepts training and advice from any and all supervisors.
Complies with all of the Cooperative’s Safety Rules and uses safe working practice and methods.
Operates all assigned Cooperative equipment, tools, and vehicles in a responsible manner.
Maintains proficiency in CPR, first aid and rescue techniques.
Complies with the proper operating practices in the use of the two-way radio.
Assist in training and direction of Tree Trimmer 1stYear, 2ndYear, and Tree Crew/Groundman.
Participates in job site tailgate discussions and monthly safety meetings.
Performs all other duties assigned by Management. Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no restrictions, apart from corrective lenses, is required. A valid Class “A” CDL is preferred. Required to obtain Class “A” CDL within 60 days of original hire date.
Certified as a Line Clearance Arborist is preferred.
Must complete and pass the Tree Trimmer 2nd Year test and Field Evaluation.
At least three (3) years’ experience working around power lines and utilities.
At least three (3) years’ experience working in right-of-way clearance.
Knowledge of clearing and trimming techniques used to clear right-of-way.
Knowledge of basic tree biology.
Must be trained in administering CPR, First Aid, and Tree Top and Bucket Rescue.
Must be able to perform work out of a bucket within the recommended weight limitations set by the manufacturer, minus liner and tools.
Ability to climb and/or work aloft whether in a tree, or mechanical lifting device.
Ability to receive direction from supervisor or other personnel.
Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
Ability to read and interpret a map.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through both verbal and written communication skills. Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear.
Frequently lifts and/or moves up to one hundred (100) pounds; occasionally may be required to lift and/or move up to one hundred and fifty (150) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel is required, along with that entails standard travel risks.

The Machine Product Trimmer serves as a Member of a high performance Manufacturing Team, creating quality products to satisfy our customer's needs. The Machine Product Trimmer is one of the most important positions in ensuring that only products that meet or exceed our customer's needs, expectations and requirements are sent. We will not meet our warranty returns PPM goals and most importantly, we will not have customers that appreciate Centro, unless they are satisfied with the quality of product they receive. The Machine Product Trimmer reviews parts right after they are molded to make sure that there are not defects.
They perform necessary trimming and assembly operations and then perform any final inspections and tests. They also ensure the part is packaged and labeled correctly. They are often the only and final person to inspect a part to make sure it is correct before our customer uses it.
Another critical function is making sure that parts that have defects or are questionable in any way are properly identified and prevented from being used. We depend on the quality performance of the Product Machine Trimmer in order to achieve our quality objectives. Use of various hand and power tools, periodic lifting of weight up to 50 lbs., and the ability to be on your feet for long periods are required.
Involves computer use to access work instructions. Must be detail oriented, able to follow detailed work instructions, and able to efficiently and effectively detect and communicate molding defects. Will create and maintain accurate records.

In this position you will operate a hydraulic trimming press to load and unload parts and items to cut, shape, trim and punch holes, separate material from parts and perform various hand trimming operations, standard sub assembly and work processing.
You will also make necessary visual or gauged parts inspections with templates, separating bad or questionable parts. You will count, identify, box, pack and stack completed work or items to be inspected and move to holding area. You may operate other hydraulic presses to perform sub assembly and fabrication operations.
May also operate vacuum parts holder. Secondary Functions: As required, you will spray molds with mold release substance and hand separate "flash" from inadequately trimmed parts and perform other hand operations to complete trimming activities.

You will move materials as necessary in the performance of duties.
