Herbicide Sprayer / Pesticide Applicator
We are currently seeking a Herbicide Sprayer / Pesticide Applicator to join our team.
Applies chemical herbicide and/or pesticide to right-of-way following brush removal, utilizing hose and spray nozzle from truck-mounted spray equipment, which includes tank, pump, hose reel, 200 feet of 5/8 inch hose, and/or utilizing a backpack in remote areas.
Services truck and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
Mixes herbicide in holding tank and fills injection tubes or assists spray crew Foreperson with mixing herbicide and filling tank.
Drives truck to specified areas where trees require treatment. Unloads injector pack and tools from truck.
Pulls wheeled cart (dolly) carrying injection unit into areas of brush to treat trees.
Operates a small power drill, which weighs less than 10 pounds. Drills holes into base of trees, places a probe from the chemical injector tank into the hole, and switches on the injector to treat trees.
Works around hazardous equipment
Works in all temperatures and weather and will be exposed to nature, i.e., irritating plants and biting or stinging insects, dust, etc.
Works on unlevel ground
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
Must be able to wear necessary PPE as necessary.
Must obtain and maintain appropriate license(s).
Must be able to write, read and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
Must be able to communicate with others.
Must be able to maintain balance over uneven terrain.
Must be able to carry backpack and hoses for several hours.
Must have endurance necessary to perform these duties throughout a standard eight or ten hour day.

The Chemical Applicator position is primarily responsible for the application of Pesticides and Fertilizers to the golf course and grounds.
All chemical applications must be in accordance with all laws and regulations.
Demonstrate preparation for day's work by arriving in uniform and with a positive attitude.
Understand and demonstrate proper application equipment calibration.
Recognize and implement all safety standards associated with product loading, mixing and application equipment.
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the game of golf, its rules and expected playing conditions for an "Upscale Championship" golf course.
Demonstrate the capability to work in and around guest areas without endangering guests.
Carry out all golf course maintenance tasks with a sense of pride and ownership so as to adhere to established quality guidelines for daily course conditioning.
Inspect all tools and equipment prior to, during and after use. Operate all equipment safely and with care and consideration of its value. Report any damage and or lack of performance to a supervisor. Also demonstrate an understanding of the work order system for equipment repair and maintenance.
This individual must possess pesticide application certification through the Texas Pest Control Commission

Seasonal Catchbasin Applicator (Mosquito Control)
The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project, located at 11 Sun St. in Waltham, is an agency of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that provides mosquito control services to 26 cities and towns. The Project is seeking applicants for seasonal contract positions during the 2018 season.
Seasonal Catch Basin Applicators will be involved in survey and control services targeted at mammal biting mosquito species and Culex species related to West Nile virus.
Over 90% of the job requires sampling and applying larvicides to catch basins and marking treated catch basins. Transportation along assigned routes will include riding bicycles, walking and driving a truck.
Setting and retrieving survey traps.
Working at night as part of a 2-person crew operating a vehicle equipped with an aerosol sprayer that applies adult mosquito control pesticides.
Seasonal Field Technicians may also be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as determined by the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent or their designee.
As a condition of employment, the applicant must obtain a Catch Basin Larvicide Permit.
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and be physically fit.

This position requires travel between many properties within Monarchs portfolio both in-state and out of state, based in Denver, CO with 75% travel nationwide.
Essential Job Duties and
Inspects flat roofs for work needed and help write scopes of work.
Prepare roofs by inspecting, removing, replacing or covering underlayment's
Repairs or installs flashing into angles formed by walls, vents and any intersecting roof surfaces.
Sprays roofs using our in-house spray roof rig.
Ensures a clean work site including covering surrounding areas as not to have over-spray damage.
Ensure that projects meet local, state and federal building codes
Inspect gutters and downspouts for damage and flow
Minor repairs of gutters and downspouts when needed
Paint surfaces connected to or within the scope of roofing work performed such as soffits or edging
Prepare written reports on work performed and inspection results
May be asked to assist on collecting bids from 3rd party vendors
May be asked to manage 3rd party vendors related to roof & gutter work

This position will operate spray and spreading equipment and do field application of agricultural products. Will work with the Precision Agronomy program. Will assist in other areas as assigned during the off season.
Rate of Pay: $12.00 to $13.50 per hour Depending on experience

Must have a good working knowledge of chemicals and their individual uses; must know and understand proper procedures in handling, mixing and applications of all herbicides and pesticides used by the Parks Division; must be familiar with OSHA and EPA chemical handling and storage requirements.
Include but are not limited to prolonged standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to see and hear. Will be required to work in inclement weather conditions.
