Operate the Press brake Machines and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, punching or sawing of metal products as instructed by supervisors. Produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings. This position may include all or some of the duties and responsibilities listed below.
Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
Select proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Follow all company rules and policies.
Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually up to 25 pounds.

Consistently produce usable product that meets the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings while following standard work instructions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Basic knowledge of reading drawings and blueprints.
Solid background working with sheet metal.
Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
Ability to follow written standard work including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way with minimal supervision required.
Flexible schedule is required in order to meet customer demand.
Candidate has to be a strong Team player.

Needle Punch Operator

Communicate with Production Technician on the production schedule of the day
Stack boxes and unload/load raw material when needed
Inform warehouse when raw material is needed
Inform warehouse when finished rolls are ready to be transferred to raw goods warehouse
Notify Production Technician of any unusual problems
Knowledge of basic mechanical tools (i.e. wrenches, sockets, pliers, allen wrenches)
Ability to make light machine adjustments and perform PM's (oil changes, assist with bearing changes)
Participate in basic housecleaning in order to maintain a clean and safe environment
Visually and physically check product as appropriate for damage and defects at intervals as directed per work instruction sheet
Visually verify all components against the work instruction sheet and sample product exhibit

Punch Press Operator
This position will be responsible for the safe operation of secondary metal stamping presses to supply quality stator and rotor lamination to the operation.
Operates mechanical metal stamping press in a safe and correct manner
Correctly load slit steel coils onto dereeler and feed coil through the metal stamping press
Performs and document required visual and physical quality inspections per product requirements
Correctly identify and label finished rotor and stator laminations
Disposition and record non-conforming product
Reads, interprets and complies with production schedules
Maintain organization, housekeeping and 5S of work area
Communicate safety, mechanical, and production issues to Set Up and/or Supervisor
Comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
High School Degree or General Education Degree.
Over three months and up to twelve months required to become familiar with position.
Requires reading and writing, addition and subtraction of whole numbers to maintain paperwork, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain quality. Strong self-initiative/ judgement to plan; use of fixed gauges or instruments; part prints interpretation is required.
Operator must be able to understand process control plans and production schedules press operation equipment limitations to maintain press in operating conditions to produce to rate with quality parts.
Use of and ability to obtain and maintain forklift, and overhead crane certification. Good communication skills to relay information to other operators and supervision.

To adjust and operate punch press equipment. To punch, blank, stamp, draw and form metal parts utilizing dies varying from single blanking to compound, combination or progressive dies and from put and take to automatic operations.
Parts must be made to print and process specifications.
Responsible for own set-ups, and for inspecting own parts.
Responsible for following safety rules, producing quality workmanship, and for good housekeeping in and around the work area.
Completion of all associated paperwork and record keeping as required.
May operate power equipment such as lift trucks, standup lift trucks and other equipment involved in moving, and/or locating parts, material, jigs, fixtures, dies and scrap tanks. Responsible for checking the lift trucks to include brakes, wheels, steering, oil leaks, and other conditions related to safe operation.
Includes identifying and verifying inventory and completing respective paperwork as necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Core skills training in basic shop math, measuring tools and blueprint reading or demonstrated equivalent knowledge is required.
Knowledge in machine shop practices and the use of respective inspection instruments used in inspecting own parts.
Completion of PMA Punch Press Operator training will be required upon entry to the classification or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.

We are currently seeking a Punch Press Operator to set-up and operate a punch press in a manufacturing environment. Be knowledgeable or be willing to learn various material types such as cold rolled steel, galvanized, stainless steel, aluminum and copper.
Good math skills will help press brake operators understand complex instructions, how schematics work and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
Problem Solving Skills:
Punch Press operators will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
Attention to Detail: Punch Press machines are precision equipment. Being off by millimeters could be a critical error. Keen attention to detail is required.
Stamina: Punch Press operators often work long hours doing repetitive movements.

Experience running/operating heavy machinery
Ability to read calipers and a tape measure.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
