Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is currently looking for a driven candidate to start a career working in the Grid Casting Department. Successful candidate will need to fulfill daily production requirements given from the department supervisor. The position will work at various workstations within the Grid Casting Department assisting in preparing grids and other battery parts. The candidate will be given hands on training by the supervisor and colleagues; this is an exceptional career opportunity. Previous experience is not required but a plus. Overtime commonly available.
Follow written and oral instructions.
Operate grid casting machine, making adjustments to controls to stay within required specifications.
Monitor weight and thickness of grids throughout the day.
Adjust machine speed for optimum quality product and production rates.
Spray grid mold to meet quality specifications as needed.
Report production numbers at the end of shift.
Hand pour small parts.
Use hand torch when needed.
Change molds on small parts machine and grid casting machine.
Make burning bars for assembly department.
Inspect small parts for assembly department.
Work in hot and cold environments.
Add lead to pots as needed.
Review procedures for correct process verification.
Standing for long periods of time
Maneuver up to 80 pounds.
Reaching, carrying, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling.
Wearing a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Investment Casting Operator I - First Shift
Completes basic operations using such equipment as wax molds, soldering gun, cut off wheels and automated machinery. Adheres to safety guidelines.

The Casting Operator is tasked with assisting the Production Supervisor with achieving all established safety, environmental, quality, production and financial goals on a facility-wide basis. Individual should be well rounded and able to perform many of the different tasks associated with running the facility as a Casting Operator, Baghouse Operator, Battery Breaker, Aqua Refining Operator, and/or shipping and receiving functions.
Heavy lifting throughout a 12-hour shift.
Continuous movement while wearing respirator and proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

The Verona plant became part of Ball's metal food & household products packaging division, Americas, in 2010 when Ball acquired Neuman Aluminum. The plant originally opened in 1986 and manufacturers approximately 24,500 metric tons of aluminum discs (slugs) for impact extrusion annually.

Primary Purpose of Position:
Employee is responsible for banding, racking, and moving coils and transporting them to storage. Employee must be able to operate the controls at the coiler table. Employee is responsible for relieving at the wheel; including monitoring quality, controlling the flow of molten metal from the furnace to the wheel where it cools and is processed.
Essential Functions and
Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
Supports and follows the guidelines of the food safety system.
Feed and band coils; take coils off coiler and band.
Monitor degasser for proper working condition, clean every 15 minutes.
Assure Chlorine and Argon tanks are filled to the proper level. Replace tanks when empty.
Check/monitor slab/strip for cracks, blisters, oxides, or other visible damage/defects.
Make sure that all dross in aluminum is taken out by skimming.
Check speed and rotation of degasser shaft; allow metal to run through degasser.
Open furnace and allow molten aluminum to exit through tap hole.
Control rate of metal to fill small tilt furnaces; skim/scrape tilt furnaces.
Monitor metal as it enters the wheel and cools; clean and examine belt and wheel.
Complete wheel/belt sheet including belt condition, spray/sand belt/wheel, and temperature.
Any other tasks as assigned by management including; assisting management in the training of new employees.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, responsible to provide supervision to production employees in department(s) including work scheduling and assignment, employee training, ensuring production quality and quantity requirements are met, administering safety, communication and equipment maintenance, administrative duties include eTime labor verifications, and SAP transactions. 4.Position requires occasional exercise of decision making, problem solving, policy or procedure interpretation and facilitation skills.

6.Position requires computer skills including Microsoft Word and ExceRP software; with SAP knowledge a plus.
7.May generally lead 15 to 30 employees.
8.Keep Production Supervisor informed of all pertinent information and developments.
9.Position requires extensive standing and walking as part of normal job duties.
10. Candidate must be skilled in nature in order to function in an environment where a variety of occupational skills may be required.
11. Position requires ability to work in a normal production plant environment.
12. Inventory monitoring, labor error corrections, correct negative messages, reject suspense, track part shortages, and update manufacturing schedules and e-time.
13. Will be responsible for monitory the process of incoming and outgoing inventory this will be accomplished by working with a designated planner.
14. Occasionally operates production equipment and tools.
15. Supplementary assistance to line operators.
16. Train employees in operation of equipment, as needed, in operation setup and trainer level proficiency.
17. Support to shift Production Supervisor in areas of production: scheduling, manpower planning and vacation planning.
18. Lead and support projects and assignments as assigned by Production Supervisor.
19. Raw material CNS planning, parts procurement, staging and line support; with the support of SAP tools.
