SO WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Under the direction of the Building Services Area Supervisor, this position is responsible for completing routine service maintenance & the repair of Centrifugal chillers and Screw chillers and all related mechanical equipment in central plants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Schedule routine maintenance for assigned customer(s) in accordance with ACCOs approved internal procedures.
Complete routine and dispatched assignments in a timely, efficient manner each maintenance period or within promised timeframes, and maintain contact with office dispatch before, during, and prior to close of ACCO standard dispatch hours.
Purchase or order required tools and equipment required for routine maintenance or requested repairs.
Fully prepare mechanic work orders/authorizations and follow approved procedures for documenting work performed, related tool purchases, customer work approval, and any other relevant information.
Escalate customer service issues that extend beyond authority or assistance to assigned Area Supervisor or customers assigned Service Sales personnel.
Display proper service appearance and deportment while on customer premises, and utilize ACCO property (e.g., service truck, cell phone, and/or laptop) appropriately.
Other duties as assigned by the Area Supervisor and/or General Service Manager.
Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.)
High school diploma, Certificate of G.E.D or H.S.P.E. with passing grade in Algebra and Geometry or Associate of Science (AS) degree in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration curriculum from a JJATC/JAC approved Community College, Trade, or Technical School.
5 years experience directly maintaining, servicing and overhauling centrifugal chillers, screw chillers of all brands. Good working knowledge of central plants. HVAC mechanical service and repair.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong track record of successfully interacting with customers.
Ability to utilize a personal computer.
Willingness and ability to attend ACCO and Union training sessions (signatory sponsorship will be provided to non-signatory applicants hired for the position).
Ability to lift and carry materials ranging from 11-25 lbs. up to 33% of the time.
Valid (non-commercial) drivers license with MVR that meets ACCOs risk insurance standards.

Uses diamond or mechanical dresser to dress straight, radii or forms on grinding wheels, as specified by print to obtain required finish; balances wheels
Changes grinding wheels, as required. Changes centers, as required

Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., and apply up to 100 foot pounds of torque.
Must have ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads.
Must wear special safety equipment while working and must be able to lift and put on emergency breathing apparatus and/or protective equipment.
- Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
Plant Operator ( Relief)
Job Description: This position is a Relief Plant Operator position at the Yates Gas Plant.
The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operations of the compression and plant facilities. The Yates Gas Plant employs a multitude of processes which include NGL Recovery, 5000 kW power/steam co generation, and fuel manufacturing.Within the fuel manufacturing process are bulk CO2 membranes, two amine sweetening units, glycol and molecular sieve dehydration, and a nitrogen rejection unit. The Yates Field Compression fleet consists of a number of slow speed reciprocating Clark TLAB-6 (2000 hp units), Ingersoll KVS and KVSR (2000 and 2600 hp units), Dresser Rand compressors (5500 HP electric driven), Aerial compressors (5500 HP electric driven). The fleet also contains three turbine driven Solar centrifugal compressors (3750 and 4250 hp units). The main purpose of these compressors is to compress raw produced gas for further processing or re-injection in to the Yates Field Reservoir.In addition to these raw gas compressors, the Yates Gas Plant contains a number of smaller electric driven compressors for process purposes.
The Yates Gas plant is a PSM Facility. Job level commensurate with experience and skill set. Duties:Operation of natural gas treating equipment to maintain designated operating conditions
Surveillance of plant processes on PLC or DCSSurveillance of satellite plant processes on PLC or DCSSurveillance of plant and field compression on PLC or DCSSurveillance of field gas gathering system pressures and flows on PLC or DCSTroubleshooting of process equipment and plant operations
Shutdown and start up of plant equipment (pumps, cooling equipment, generators, etc.)Daily plant/compressor rounds and monitoring of equipment to identify operational problems not indicated through PLC or DCS alarm systems
Manually operate valves as operations dictate
Lockout/ Tag out and permitting duties for maintenance work
Interact with contract personnel
Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns
Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork
Provide oral and written communication of activities to appropriate personnel
Write Maintenance Work Orders as needed
Operate company vehicles during daily activities
Relieve operations personnel of operator duties during vacation or as required WORKING CONDITIONS ● Work 12 hr Rotating Schedule relieving other operators when they are off, either days or nights. ● Be available for call-out, overtime, and fulfill other scheduling needs as required by the company● Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled work day ● Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness. ● May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms. ● Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.● Plant vessels, compressors and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances
