ACCO Building Services is looking for a skilled Centrifugal Chiller Mechanic to join our team. ACCO Chiller Technicians are dispatched through UA Local Union 250. We encourage you to apply if you are interested in joining (or are currently in) the union.
SO WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Under the direction of the Building Services Area Supervisor, this position is responsible for completing routine service maintenance & the repair of Centrifugal chillers and Screw chillers and all related mechanical equipment in central plants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Schedule routine maintenance for assigned customer(s) in accordance with ACCOs approved internal procedures.
Complete routine and dispatched assignments in a timely, efficient manner each maintenance period or within promised timeframes, and maintain contact with office dispatch before, during, and prior to close of ACCO standard dispatch hours.
Purchase or order required tools and equipment required for routine maintenance or requested repairs.
Fully prepare mechanic work orders/authorizations and follow approved procedures for documenting work performed, related tool purchases, customer work approval, and any other relevant information.
Escalate customer service issues that extend beyond authority or assistance to assigned Area Supervisor or customers assigned Service Sales personnel.
Display proper service appearance and deportment while on customer premises, and utilize ACCO property (e.g., service truck, cell phone, and/or laptop) appropriately.
Other duties as assigned by the Area Supervisor and/or General Service Manager.
Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.)
High school diploma, Certificate of G.E.D or H.S.P.E. with passing grade in Algebra and Geometry or Associate of Science (AS) degree in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration curriculum from a JJATC/JAC approved Community College, Trade, or Technical School.
5 years experience directly maintaining, servicing and overhauling centrifugal chillers, screw chillers of all brands. Good working knowledge of central plants. HVAC mechanical service and repair.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong track record of successfully interacting with customers.
Ability to utilize a personal computer.
Willingness and ability to attend ACCO and Union training sessions (signatory sponsorship will be provided to non-signatory applicants hired for the position).
Ability to lift and carry materials ranging from 11-25 lbs. up to 33% of the time.
Valid (non-commercial) drivers license with MVR that meets ACCOs risk insurance standards.

Job Summary: H-E-B Stationary Systems Partners are responsible for operating and maintaining multiple steam and refrigeration plants that primarily serve warehousing and manufacturing concerns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for refrigerant pressure temperature charts
Perform basic industrial refrigeration system troubleshooting
Ability to collect basic operating data to evaluate proper equipment and refrigeration system operation
Responsible for identifying IIAR pipe marking standards, department pipe color codes, and pipe markers used for ammonia piping identification
- Assist higher level operators in installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial refrigeration mechanical equipment
Read and understand basic electrical diagrams
Interpret wire color codes relative to voltage ratings

Position operates or maintains automatically fired boilers to generate steam that supplies heat or power to assigned healthcare facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors operation of boiler systems to ensure proper functioning of steam generation, compressed air, hot water, and other systems.

Union Electric Steel Corporation is seeking CNC Lathes and Grinding Machine Operators for our Carnegie, PA manufacturing plant. Candidates should have experience in the operation of CNC Lathes and/or Grinders. These unionized hourly positions offer an excellent fringe benefit package. This is an hourly position and applicants must be willing to work rotating shifts and weekends, as required.
LATHE OPERATORPRIMARY FUNCTION
To set up and operate engine lathe for production of rolls
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
Up through 60" engine lathe, cutting tools, wrenches, files, calipers, rules, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators, etc.
Works from verbal and written instructions, samples, sketches or diagrams, to repair, maintain or install electrical equipment. Work is usually of a complicated nature. Electrician may make diagrams or sketches.
Analyzes breakdown or power failure, finds source of trouble, plans work procedure, selects proper tools and materials to be used and proceeds with the work with limited supervision
Has a thorough knowledge of electrical codes, plant electrical equipment and shop mathematics
Performs or assists in making mechanical repairs associated with electrical work on cranes, manipulator, motors, etc.
Performs installation and repair work on electronic control devices
Operates cranes, as required
May direct Craneman in the proper operation and care of cranes
Follows all good shop practices as cleanliness, care of tools and equipment, keeping an orderly work place, etc.
Observes all safety rules and watches for the safety of others.
GRINDER OPERATORPRIMARY FUNCTION
To set up and operate cylindrical grinding machine to perform all types of body and neck, straight, crown, and taper grinding
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
Cylindrical for performing all types of body and neck, straight, crown and taper grinding, grinding wheels, mechanical and diamond wheel dresser, micrometers, scales, wrenches, cat heads, journal blocks, sine bars, crowning attachments, etc.
Receives job instructions and drawing from Foreman
Locates and hooks roll; directs Craneman in positioning piece in grinder and removing finished piece for placement in a designated area
Sets up and adjusts machine controls, feeds and speeds for all types of straight, crown, or taper body and neck grinding to obtain required reduction and finish. Sets up and adjusts crowning device for proper crown specifications and dimensions. Sets grinder for proper taper grinding set up and works mostly to tolerances of .001 on diameters and scale measurements on lengths; performs necessary layout work to obtain proper length specifications. Rough and finish grinds on centers for all types of roll grinding work. May set up and grind on catheads or journal blocks, if required
Most rolls are ground to a good commercial finish and required to finish grind rolls to customer specifications
Uses micrometers, scales, templates, etc. to check and record body and neck dimensions. Uses dial indicator to check run-out, as required
Uses diamond or mechanical dresser to dress straight, radii or forms on grinding wheels, as specified by print to obtain required finish; balances wheels
Changes grinding wheels, as required. Changes centers, as required
Cleans, lubricates, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to machine
Maintains a clean and orderly working area
