Centrifuge Operator - 2Nd Shift
Responsibilities: Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsible for plant Centrifuge and Rotary Drying operations to ensure maximum quality and quantity in accordance with the company’s operation objectives while maintaining a safe environment.
Read batch card, work orders, recipes, or formulas in order to determine drying times and temperatures.
Weigh and dump or scoop prescribed solid, granular, or powdered ingredients into rotary dryer, according to formulation and batch card instruction.
Observe gauges, dials, and product characteristics, and adjust controls in order to maintain appropriate temperature and flow of ingredients within prescribed limits.
Draw sample of product for laboratory analysis as well as perform moisture analysis utilizing appropriate equipment.
Communicate with the lab to anticipate or remedy any problems to ensure the highest quality and optimize efficiency.
Listen for malfunction alarms, and shut down equipment and notify supervisors when necessary.
Record production and data, such as processing steps, temperature, drying time, batches processed, etc.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain good personal hygiene.
