Essential Functions: Comply with safety rules and regulations and always seek assistance when in doubt. Be vigilant for the safety of oneself, co-workers and especially new employees.
Proper usage of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and adherence to applicable safety results is condition of employment. Performs inspections/tests required working from verbal and written instructions including drawings and schematics. Must be familiar with many related mechanical, electrical and visual inspection and test equipment and methods.
Understands concept of Quality Systems, calibration process and knowledge of IPC 620, IPC 610, JSGTD 001, ISO9001-2000. Will use computer to view drawings while performing inspections in any areas required including Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection. Able to select and set up appropriate test, electric and measuring equipment that will properly match tolerance requirements while balancing production concerns.
Plan work to support production schedules and accommodate source inspectors. Takes a proactive approach with regards to defects found during inspection. Detect and report unusual or non-conforming documentation, materials, conditions, or product to supervisor or group/team leader.
