Job Summary: As part of our Front End team, this position provides customers with outstanding service, communicates product information, and contributes to the effective operations of the Front End, including prompt checkout and accurate cash handling.
Specific Job Duties:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensures positive customer relations; provides outstanding customer service and readily communicates product information to increase sales and best service customers.
Ensures accuracy and promptness in customer checkout.
Follows all Front End tendering procedures, including cash handling, check cashing, credit and debit processing, electronic benefits transfers, gift certificates, and miscellaneous tender.
Ensures accurate tender handling is achieved; consistently balances till without overages or shortages.
Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines while working with all products.
Complies with all front-end safety and security procedures.
Follows inventory and loss prevention guidelines.
Performs necessary POS responsibilities, including price checks, and proper completion of "item not on file" documentation.
Correctly identifies produce items and their corresponding PLU codes.
Maintains Front End cleanliness; performs light housekeeping duties as needed.
Follows all policies and procedures without fail.
Follows company expectations with regard to attendance, communication, professionalism and dress guidelines/professional image standards.
Works effectively and relates well with others, including supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside of the Company; exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to build and maintain constructive working relationships; accepts and applies constructive feedback in a professional and effective manner that enhances performance and resolves performance deficiencies.

This terrific opportunity is located at Sysco IFG's facility in Jacksonville, FL.
The primary purpose of the Checker is to support the outbound shipping department. Checkers are responsible for accurately verifying all outgoing product.
This will include dates if applicable, quantities, correct pack size and description. All of this is done with compliance of Sysco’s Preferred Work Methods.
Checkers will verify the order has been selected accurately by using sheets generated from SWMS. Checkers will then tag all outgoing pallets so a loader is signaled he can load. Once this is complete, Checkers will transfer all dates and information to warehouse pull sheet.
Obtain Market Manager’s approval when product is short dated and notify Warehouse Supervisor.
Cleaning and assisting in cleanliness of warehouse. Other Operations duties as assigned.

Refine Drafter's knowledge and understanding of GD&T practices
Remind Drafters to proactively strengthen their weak areas of knowledge for future career growth
Revises detailed drawings and assemblies by applying established drafting, design and engineering standards and practices with technical data as necessary
Checks to insure drawing accuracy and clarity, including compliance with customer standards and specifications
Apply knowledge and understanding of view geometry, manufacturing processes, drafting symbology, dimensioning standards, bill of material information and notations necessary for component or assembly production
Performs assembly component stack-up analysis as necessary

Places merchandise in bags or boxes, gives packages to customers, and assists courtesy personnel as needed.
Answers customer questions and concerns and follows-up with appropriate personnel.
Understands and follows local, state, and company policies on sales of tobacco, liquor, and lottery tickets.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding WIC and food stamps.
Required to know value, look-up numbers, department numbers, and features of items for which money is received.
Stocks, faces, rotates merchandise, cleans shelves, understands shelf tags, knows location of merchandise in the store and also in the back room, and takes customers to an item when requested.
Perceives immediate surroundings for customer needs and problems for store safety and security.
Communicates clearly and distinctly on the intercom or telephone system.
Reviews weekly store ad to note price changes and sale items.
Keeps register area clean, ensures adequate supplies are ready and available, reports improper cash levels in cash drawer, and helps maintain the store appearance.
Compares totals on cash register with amount of currency in register to verify balances at the beginning and end of work shift, (where applicable).
May give cash refunds or issue credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or know where to direct the customer.
Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is always clean and neat.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Assists store management as required (i.e., store displays, decorations for special promotion/events)
Knows code dates on perishable items and can explain to customers
Changes register tape and ribbons as necessary
Assists in other areas of store as needed
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required
Education and Experience
No education or experience requirements
Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (Can be accommodated)
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Must be able to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables
Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
This position is frequently exposed to temperature extremes and possible dampness. There are possible equipment movement hazards from a pallet jack, electrical shock, and exposure to chemicals and solvents. This is a fast paced work environment.
