The Blender Operator is responsible for preparing and mixing of appropriate ingredients required to produce finished syrup from calculation for bottling, canning, and premix/post-mix operations based upon number of cases and tanks scheduled for production each shift.

Blender - Food Manufacturing
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, the Blender will manufacture a variety of dry powders within set specifications to be used by a wide variety of external customers in the food industry. The Blender is responsible for the quality of blends, accurate completion of all paper work, sanitation of blender and blending area, and meeting all sample analysis requirements. This position also performs packaging job duties as required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all color matching and mixing equipment. The incumbent conducts draw-downs and prepares and blends customer orders to meet their specifications, while maintaining detailed records of their work orders and formulas.
Prepare customer orders, including blending initial batch, making shade adjustments, filling and labeling batches.
Make shade and gloss adjustments to meet customer requirements.
Use Phoenix System including generating COA's and QA sheets.
Prepare spray-out and draw-down test panels.
Expense miss-tints daily.
Establish and maintain accurate customer work order files and formulas.
Ensure customers' quality and service expectations are met.
Clean and repair store equipment
Identify facility/equipment problems and make recommendations.
Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing and testing equipment in a safe manner.
Properly store all partial containers to correct inventory location.
Provide input regarding inventory levels in the warehouse/stockroom.
Identify potential obsolete/damaged material and handle per established policy/procedures.
Maintain daily clean up of lab, product service room and equipment.
Maintain facility to S-W standards through proper maintenance, repair and housekeeping.
Follow designated loss prevention, security and safety practices according to policy and correct or report non-compliance of appropriate procedures/policies.
Take immediate action to contain spillage using hazardous material containment procedures as outlined in the Work Safe Manual, including proper and timely reporting.
Assist with general warehouse, delivery and customer service duties as needed, including loading and unloading of material and waiting on customers.
Know stock limits and be familiar with stock order procedure.

Description and Responsibilities
The Jackson location creates Dry Beverage products for Kerry customers and brands. The Blender Operator is responisble for perfoming dry blending of products to ensure continuous operations by meeting production needs. This is a 2nd shift position working on our new, highly automated production lines. The hours for this position are Monday
11pm. with availablity to work overtime as needed.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
Mark and label containers or products using appropriate equipment.
Measure, weigh, and count and package products and materials.
Examines and inspects containers, materials, and products in order to ensure proper specifications are followed.
Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
Responsible for following proper procedures in regards to defective products or materials.
Reports all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initial action.
Demonstrates a positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency to accomplish assigned tasks.
Understand and comply with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.
Maintains a safe & clean work environment & departmental housekeeping standards.

This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor with product flow, process efficiency, and product quality while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Team Member is responsible for formulating blends and following detailed work instructions to comply with product constraints. Team member will be being using computer programs and a fat analyzer and should also be comfortable working with numbers.

All work is performed in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from 20 to 50 degrees and requires standing 8 to 12 hours per day.

The Blender Technician plans, controls and executes the delivery of the daily blend requirements for production through the scheduling, ordering and manufacturing of raw syrup from concentrate with adherence to the quality specification requirements. The Blender Technician also maintains blending and product transfer equipment sanitation requirements to ensure system-wide conformance to quality and sanitation standards.
