Each day, you’ll interface with various experts in other disciplines, providing fully-coordinated projects related to tool installation/relocation as well as other facilities upgrades, modernizations, and improvements. - Maintain awareness of the latest advances and developments in key process intensification technologies, processes and enablers; including the R&D work of the various RAPID “nodes” across the country.
- Identify small and mid-sized manufacturers that are current or potential participants in chemical manufacturing supply chains, with a focus on future market needs (innovative design, new components) generated by RAPID’s intended “democratization” or shrinking of chemical manufacturing and chemical processing facilities.
- Develop messaging and marketing collateral targeting small and mid-sized manufacturers that are current or potential participants in chemical manufacturing (and other) supply chains.
- Consult with relevant Institute leadership and governance bodies to inform technology roadmaps and project development process.
- Consult regularly with Institute technical leadership staff responsible for business outreach.

PROCESS is currently seeking one or more Mineral Processing and Metallurgical Process Design Engineers with experience in mining and metallurgical process operations and/or design experience including hands-on METSIM simulation skills. Scope of Support: Over 6000 customers with cryogenic liquid and bulk gas systems spread across 3 sub regions. Indirect support to ̴ 80 maintenance and construction technicians, ̴ 30 Project Engineers and Specialists
Technical Complexity: This position requires in-depth knowledge of Customer Engineering including full spectrum of cryogenic and gaseous storage and delivery systems, knowledge of applicable regulations, maintenance associated processes, knowledge of project, construction and maintenance activities.
Financial Impact: This role has direct impact on the costs of NA Customer Engineering with opportunities to reduce costs or increase revenue based on work process improvement projects and use of more efficient work processes and technology
Supply Chain Impact: This position has indirect customer impact, mainly via communication with Sub Region representatives that are dealing directly with customers IV. Recommended Skills and Experience:
Engineering Bachelor degree and 5 years of work experience required (mechanical engineering or chemical engineering)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with various disciplines across Customer Engineering
Initiative in learning and implementing new methods, concepts and/or technologies
Results oriented individual with strong ability to multi-task in a busy work environment
Strong technical capabilities including and understanding of the process technologies employed in Customer Engineering
Strong P&L mindset
Previous Customer focus and interactions experience

The Materials and Processes Engineer 3 will be integral to ensuring on-time delivery to our diverse portfolio of programs.
This role is contingent on program award. Responsibilities include:
Analyzing, researching, designing and developing materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems + Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes + Develops, analyzes and applies material properties and design allowables, processing processes and quality engineering specifications + Conducts failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications + Material analyses may include failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications.
Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures.
Supports design and development of advanced airframe Basic Qualifications :
