Strength And Conditioning Coach
NJ FASSST is a comprehensive athlete training facility that strives to build the foundation for improved sports performance. We are currently seeking to employ both Full Time and Part Time Performance Coaches for our new facility opening in November of 2017. - Perform comprehensive evaluations to determine areas of inefficiency of movement
- Design and implement goal-oriented and individualized exercise prescriptions

Position Summary Under general supervision, provides direct patient care in the Sports Performance Center to include strength and conditioning services on an as needed basis. This position reports to the Director of Sports Medicine.
Job responsibilities will include areas related to strength and conditioning, patient services, and general maintenance of exercise-related equipment and facility upkeep. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) One to three years' experience in a strength and conditioning setting is preferred. Provide instruction and demonstration of correct Olympic lifting technique, along with other strength, speed development, agility and plyometric exercises while applying them in a periodization framework. Provide instruction and demonstration of appropriate dynamic warm up, mobility and stability exercises based on individualized athlete needs. Ability to administer and interpret SCORE testing assessment for pre/post evaluation of athletic readiness.
Complete SCORE testing report and deliver results to athlete/parents. Incorporate sport testing photoelectric laser timing system for all large group and team SCORE testing. Ability to administer and interpret results for submaximal cardiovascular and fitness assessments.
Collaborate with Sanford Sport Science Institute (SSSI) staff to gather accurate and reliable athlete testing data for use in research. Work with Sanford Physical Therapy staff to incorporate SCORE pro biomechanical assessment results into individualized athlete performance programming. Assist with collection and computer entry of accurate athlete testing data.
Maintain an accessible record of all written and electronic athlete performance programming. Safety, maintenance and cleanliness of the turf field, weight room and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification and/or ACSM Health and Fitness Instructor are required. If not certified at hire, must attain certification within one year.
CSCS Certification through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) is required within one (1) year of date hired. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in the field of Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health, Physical Education, Recreation or other closely related discipline. Master's Degree is preferred.
Highly desirable two or more years of experience in the strength & conditioning field at the high school, college, professional or private sector. Competency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills is required. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
