Superior ability and skills to set all type of fine setting work in platinum, gold and white gold metals according with Tiffany & Co. aesthetic and quality standards. Ability to evaluate and recommend stone layouts in metal for new products. Maintaining a minimum of stones breakage and loss while consistently producing superior diamond and color stone setting.
Set diamonds and color stones using pave, burnishing, bead, channel, fancy prong, cut-down and bright cut setting techniques.
Inspect mountings 100% prior to setting and review work after setting completion.
Count and record individual daily production results, verify accuracy of work orders, reconcile all stones used in work orders, and notify supervisor of discrepancies.
Verify the accuracy of work orders in terms of but not limited to: tracking location, CODC if applicable, high value components.

The areas of work will be in and across Upstate New York.
The tile setter will responsible for installing tile, marble, terrazzo panels, and glass in buildings and residences. They will also be responsible for applying tile to walls, ceilings, and floors for decorative purposes.
Apply tile or marble to ceilings and walls of buildings, including homes and businesses.
Install decorative concrete mixture in floor at schools, offices, and hospitals.
Measure and cut marble according to specifications.
Drill holes into the corners of marble sheet.
Insert fasteners into holes.
Create plaster mixture and apply to wall.
Press marble onto plaster mixture.
Squeeze special mix between slabs.
Smooth and finish mixture.
Clean off residue.
Remove damaged or destroyed tiles or marble.
Apply cement to walls, floors, and ceilings.
Set tile in place and push into cement.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Inspects tools before use for discrepancies, using applicable drawings or by industry standards.
o Changes dull cutter, as required, and identifies with labels, according to job needs.
o Works with tool engineer and machinists identifying recurring and sporadic cutter problems.
